Arnd Schimkat aka Arthur Senkrecht brings laughter to Munich
When Arnd Schimkat steps onto the stage as Arthur Senkrecht, the comedy atmosphere in TamS gains a unique tension: pointed, physical, intelligent, and with that slightly quirky energy that transforms a seemingly harmless moment into a perfect comedic catastrophe. On Saturday, November 7, 2026, his program Making Laughter is scheduled in Munich.
Comedy with precision and strong stage presence
Arnd Schimkat knows the mechanics of laughter not only from practice. He was trained in Paris at the theater school of Jacques Lecoq and in New York at the Actors Studio. His comedy combines stand-up, acting, situational comedy, and keen observation of human weaknesses. The result: a laughing experience with strong timing, expressive body language, and punchlines that often hit when the audience least expects them.
Arthur Senkrecht: When the ordinary goes completely off the rails
In Making Laughter, Schimkat takes the audience behind the scenes of humor, comedy, and stage effect. It’s not about quick gags in succession, but about the art of developing major audience reactions from small gestures, absurd situations, and precise interaction. A glance, a step, a suspiciously long pause – and the scene tips into chaos with astonishing elegance.
A distinguished experience between cabaret, film, and television
Schimkat won the Perrier Comedy Award with his solo performance and received the Grimme Award along with the WDR show Zimmer frei!. His work has taken him to stages in numerous countries, and in film and television, he has been seen in well-known productions. The Süddeutsche Zeitung praised him as so funny that the audience laughs to tears, while the Münchner Abendzeitung recognized him as the embodiment of the comic.
An evening for fans of fine and physical humor
If you love cabaret with acting, precise timing, and a hefty pinch of absurd humor, you will find an extraordinary stage character in Arthur Senkrecht. The show thrives on closeness, presence, and direct contact between the artist and the audience. In TamS, exactly that intimate comedy atmosphere is created where every laugh is contagious and even the softest punchline gets its space.
Conclusion: Arnd Schimkat aka Arthur Senkrecht promises an evening full of quirky observations, clever punchlines, and great stage artistry with Making Laughter. Those who want to experience comedy not just by hearing but live should not miss this performance in TamS.
