Bodo Wartke brings Munich to the Wonderpoint
When language suddenly becomes music and a rhyme catches fire faster than the punchline reaches the audience, Bodo Wartke stands on stage. On Thursday, October 15, 2026, the piano cabaret artist presents his seventh piano cabaret program Wunderpunkt at Circus Krone in Munich.
Virtuoso Piano Cabaret with Linguistic Wit
Bodo Wartke combines stand-up, chanson, cabaret and virtuosic piano playing into a distinctive laughter experience. His punchlines arise from precise timing, surprising rhyming culture, and a keen eye for the small inconsistencies of everyday life. What sounds like wordplay to others develops into a musical stage choreography with Wartke.
Between Tongue Twister Slam and Thoughtful Tones
Wunderpunkt contrasts the familiar with lightness and wonder. The entertainer and poet tells of absurd situations in human interaction, juggles with language and leads his audience through rapid rhymes, fine observations, and musical surprises. More serious topics also receive attention: early learned behavioral patterns, misogyny, and the radical interpretation of religious dogmas are examined critically yet humorously.
A Stage Presence with Almost 30 Years of Experience
Since his first full-length concert in 1996, Bodo Wartke has established himself as a pianist, singer, actor and songwriter. His awards include the German Small Arts Prize, the German Language Prize, and the Fred Jay Prize. In 2026, he will also receive the Salzburg Bull. His unusual handling of rhyme, rhythm, and the German language has long captivated audiences online – not least due to the viral tongue twister song Barbaras Rhabarberbar.
Comedy Atmosphere at Circus Krone
Circus Krone creates the perfect setting for this special evening: a large stage, focused attention, and the immediate audience reaction that completes good cabaret. Between laughter, spontaneous reactions, and musically precise transitions, an atmosphere is created in which even an apparently ordinary sentence suddenly merits a grand finale.
Conclusion: An Evening for Word Acrobats and Laughter Seekers
Bodo Wartke's Wunderpunkt promises musical cabaret with pace, depth, and a good portion of linguistic acrobatics. Anyone wishing to experience intelligent punchlines, virtuosic piano playing, and an extraordinary stage presence live should not miss this evening at Circus Krone.
