Jess Jochimsen Makes Munich Minds Smile

When the world once again seems to have left common sense at the lost and found, Jess Jochimsen helps out with his program From All Good Spirits. On Friday, October 30, 2026, the Munich cabaret artist will perform at the TamS Theater, combining sharp political satire with music, images, and a healthy dose of hope.

Cabaret Between Everyday Life, Absurdity, and Optimism

Jochimsen wanders through suburbs and fairs, observes the small demands of everyday life, and searches for the good spirits that apparently sometimes leave us faster than the last thought before the end of the workday. His punchlines are quirky, poetic, and precisely observed. The result: a laughter experience with depth, where tragedy and hilariously funny moments are closely intertwined.

Texts, Songs, and Slides with Unique Timing

The program thrives on a special mix of stand-up, cabaret, songs, and slides. Jochimsen does not work with coarse humor but with fine timing, surprising perspective changes, and a stage presence that turns even an apparently harmless everyday scene into a small societal seismograph exercise. The comedy atmosphere remains relaxed, witty, and pleasantly unpredictable.

An Award-Winning Cabaret Artist with a Literary Eye

Jess Jochimsen was born in Munich in 1970, studied German studies, political science, and philosophy, and has been on German-speaking stages for many years as a cabaret artist, author, and musician. His awards include the Prix Pantheon, the Baden-Württemberg Small Art Prize, and the Swiss Cabaret Prize Cornichon 2026. His television appearances, including on Scheibenwischer and RTL-Samstag-Nacht, also made him known to a wide audience.

Comedy at TamS Theater

The TamS Theater on Haimhauserstraße provides the perfect setting for this special cabaret evening: close, atmospheric, and with enough room for the audience's reactions, which often oscillate between laughter, contemplation, and spontaneous headshaking during Jochimsen's performance. Doors open at 6:30 PM, show starts at 7:30 PM.

Conclusion: An Evening Against the Ongoing Demands

Visitors can expect no comedy standard menu, but a cleverly composed evening with satire, music, images, and human warmth. Jess Jochimsen confronts the increasing brain and heart glaciation with humor and hopeful precision. Anyone who wants to experience cabaret with attitude, strong texts, and surprising punchlines live should not miss this evening at TamS.
