Norbert Ortner celebrates his premiere of HOME at Schlachthof Munich
A free weekend, a full home and a couch as the supposedly perfect date: In his second solo program HOME, Norbert Ortner takes the audience into the comical interstices of everyday life. On Friday, October 23, 2026, Munich will witness the premiere of the new cabaret program at the Wirtshaus in Schlachthof.
When the silence suddenly becomes suspicious
Norbert is waiting for a relaxed weekend. His wife and child are with relatives, the fridge is stocked, and the couch is ready. But what starts as the longed-for break develops into a pointed game of loneliness, family life and the small self-deceptions of modern everyday life.
Cabaret with stage presence and precise timing
As an actor and cabaret artist, Norbert Ortner combines precise observation with a rhythmic sense of language. His stage performance thrives on facial expressions, timing and direct audience engagement, transforming everyday situations into surprising perspectives. The live atmosphere in Schlachthof provides the perfect setting: accessible, concentrated, and charged with the special energy of a premiere night.
HOME at Wirtshaus im Schlachthof
Schlachthof is one of Munich's established cultural meeting points, combining cabaret, music, and gastronomy. The program begins at 20:00, with doors opening at 18:30. This leaves time to arrive before the performance and soak in the special atmosphere of the venue.
An evening between couch, chaos, and comedy
HOME promises a cabaret evening about familiar life situations, unexpected twists, and the attempt to truly find peace in one’s own home. Those wishing to experience Norbert Ortner live should not miss the Munich premiere at Schlachthof.
