Sigi Zimmerschied brings the present to the cabaret stage

While the world stumbles over parking shortages, species extinction, obesity, and general overwhelm, Sigi Zimmerschied does not hit the brakes but steps into the cabaret spotlight. On October 31, 2026, the award-winning cabaret artist presents his solo program NO TOPIC. A German Response at the TamS Theater Munich.

Bitter satire with linguistic force

Zimmerschied's cabaret thrives on sharp observation, grotesque humor, and a stage presence that makes even seemingly harmless everyday phrases look suspicious. His punchlines are not polished but come with edges, corners, and plenty of drive. The result: an intense laughter experience between political satire, social observation, and dark wordplay.

Stand-up meets theater and transformation art

In NO TOPIC, Zimmerschied combines stand-up elements with classic cabaret, precise timing, and striking character work. His facial expressions, voice modulation, and high tempo give societal contradictions a face – sometimes even several. The audience's reaction is likely to range between liberating laughter and brief contemplation, that dangerous combination where one suddenly realizes that the punchline was right.

A cabaret artist with great tradition

Sigi Zimmerschied co-founded the Passau Cabaret Group Die Verhohnepeopler with Bruno Jonas in 1975. For his work, he received, among other awards, the German Small Art Prize and the Ernst-Hoferichter Prize. Besides numerous solo programs, he is also known as a writer, actor, director, and filmmaker. His appearances in film and television complement a stage career that has stood for direct, coarse, and cross-party humor for decades.

Comedy atmosphere at the TamS Theater

The TamS Theater in Schwabing offers the perfect setting for this cabaret evening: close to the stage, close to the text, and close to the audience's reaction. Here, punchlines not only have volume but also resonance. Those seeking political cabaret with attitude, grotesque figures, and uncompromising wordplay will experience an evening that does not disguise itself as a wellness program.

Conclusion

Visitors can expect a sharp, energetic cabaret evening with precise timing, strong imagery, and a humor that does not cushion societal contradictions but exposes them. Experiencing Sigi Zimmerschied live means: laughing, marveling, and afterwards questioning why reality provides so much material. Secure tickets now and experience the laughter experience live at the TamS Theater Munich.
