Tobias Mann in Gauting: When the truth needs a punchline

What is real, what is false – and why does the artificial truth on the internet often look better than the real one? Tobias Mann tackles this quite big question with a lot of humor. On November 26, 2026, the award-winning cabaret artist brings his eighth stage program REAL/FAKE to the bosco in Gauting.

Stand-up, satire, and digital self-deception

In his new cabaret program, Tobias Mann dissects the world between social media algorithms, edited profile pictures, and everyday self-observation. His punchlines hit where modern communication likes to lose its grip: with emotions from the computer, beautiful truths at the click of a mouse, and the question of whether information automatically becomes credible just because it sounds professional.

The comedy experience combines intelligent social satire with musical moments, clever wordplay, and a good portion of puppet-like nonsense. Mann's timing is spot on, his stage presence remains alert, and the audience reaction is likely to oscillate between approving nods and loud laughter.

An award-winning professional with a sunny disposition

Tobias Mann is among the renowned voices in the German cabaret scene. Awards such as the German Small Art Prize, the Bavarian Cabaret Prize, and the Prix Pantheon are part of his verifiable success story. On stage, he combines political observation, musical cabaret, and stand-up energy into a distinctive humor style.

His motto roughly translates to: Fake it till you make it. The punchline here is: Even the biggest problems of the present are supposed to be solved by computers in the future – hopefully, the computer doesn’t notice that the human is the actual problem.

REAL/FAKE live at bosco Gauting

The bosco – Bürger- und Kulturhaus Gauting provides the suitable setting for an evening full of cabaret, interaction, and sharply observed present-day issues. Tobias Mann puts false truths and true fakes to the test while delivering a laugh experience with social relevance.
