A musical sleigh ride into the wintry world of Mozart
On the first Advent Sunday, the auditorium of the Neubiberg primary school transforms into a sparkling winter landscape: At “A Sleigh Ride with the Mozarts,” families experience a classic participatory concert full of snow magic, horse-drawn sleigh atmosphere, and festive music.
When Wolferl zooms through the snow
Finally, it’s snowing! Little Wolferl goes sledding with his big sister while the parents harness the horses for the sleigh. Together, they set off through the winter landscape to the castle ball. This story serves as the red thread for a concert that combines classical music with child-friendly storytelling and active participation.
Sounds of Mozart to listen and participate
The string quartet led by Maria Gruber plays works by Leopold Mozart and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Violins, viola, and cello create a warm chamber music sound that remains immediately accessible to young listeners. The musical design blends precise synchronization and lively stage performance with an atmosphere in which children can playfully discover classical music.
Amadea Sozart guides the concert
Actress Melanie Rainer guides the program as “Amadea Sozart.” With a child-friendly story, clear transitions, and direct participation moments, she opens the door to the music. Parents and children between two and ten years old experience a concert that connects listening, movement, and imagination. Younger siblings are also welcome to join.
Wintry live atmosphere for the whole family
Snowy scenery, castle balls, and Mozart's works merge into a family concert with a festive character. The audience's mood arises not only from the music but also from the joint activities: children are repeatedly invited to actively accompany the musical progression. Thus, a classical concert becomes a sensual journey through sound, movement, and winter fantasy.
Conclusion: Discovering and experiencing classical music together
“A Sleigh Ride with the Mozarts” offers families a special Advent afternoon filled with chamber music, acting, and participation moments. Those who want to experience Mozart not just as music but as a living story will find a lovingly crafted concert experience for multiple generations in Neubiberg.
