ANVIL brings classic Heavy Metal back to Munich
On Monday, October 26, 2026, the Backstage Club in Munich will transform into a boiling meeting point for Heavy Metal fans: ANVIL comes to Germany with their POUNDING THE PAST TOUR 2026. From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Canadian Metal history will meet powerful live sound and uncompromising stage performance.
Riff power with historical foundation
ANVIL is considered one of the defining formations of classic Heavy Metal. The band, led by singer and guitarist Steve Lips Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner, emerged from a musical friendship in Toronto and released early genre classics with albums like Metal on Metal and Forged in Fire. Therefore, a band will be on stage in Munich whose sound has influenced generations of Metal musicians.
Pounding the Past: a journey to the early albums
The European tour focuses on songs from the first three albums, creating a powerful bridge between the early eighties and the present. Expect distinctive guitar riffs, driving drums, precise synchronization, and an earthy sound that has its effect particularly immediately in the club. Belgian Heavy Metal band KILLER has been announced as the special guest.
Pure club atmosphere at Backstage
The Backstage Club offers the perfect setting for an intense concert experience: short distances to the stage, direct audience closeness, and an acoustic environment where every riff remains tangible. When the amplifiers turn up and the drums set the rhythm, the raw live atmosphere for which classic Heavy Metal has been celebrated for decades is created.
An evening for Metal connoisseurs and explorers
ANVIL combines musical endurance, distinctive stage presence, and a discography that ranges from Hard 'n' Heavy to Metal on Metal to One and Only. The documentary The Story of Anvil also helped make the band's extraordinary history known to a broader audience.
The concert in Munich promises a concentrated Heavy Metal evening with historical songs, powerful sound, and the energy of a club where the distance between the band and the audience disappears. Anyone wanting to experience ANVIL live should not miss this tour date at the Backstage Club.
