Autumn Concert 2026: Symphonic Tones in Gauting
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the Gauting Orchestra Association invites you to a festive autumn concert at the Gauting Secondary School on Birkenstraße. Under the direction of Dorian Keilhack, the program combines Nordic sound poetry, classical concert repertoire, and Tchaikovsky's compelling Fifth Symphony.
Between Fairy Tale World and Orchestra Magic
The concert opens with Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 op. 46. The music unfolds colorful orchestration, distinctive rhythms, and atmospheric scenes in which the orchestra showcases its tonal versatility.
The Double Bass in the Solo Spotlight
With Johann Baptist Vanhal's Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra in D Major, an extraordinary solo instrument takes center stage for the evening. The soloist Mariclara Ruiz Neudauer engages with the orchestra with precise synchronization, warm sound, and virtuosic stage presence.
Tchaikovsky's Great Emotional Range
The highlight features Peter Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 in E Minor op. 64. Between dark melodies, dramatic build-up, and triumphant resolution, the work develops a strong musical pull. Dorian Keilhack's conducting leads the individual sound groups to a striking symphonic picture.
An Evening of Live Atmosphere
The autumn concert blends well-known masterpieces with a special soloistic color. The audience's mood arises from the direct interplay of the orchestra, conducting, and room acoustics – a concert experience for all who wish to experience classical music live and immediately.
Conclusion: Visitors can expect a varied evening between Grieg's atmospheric suite, Vanhal's rarely heard double bass concerto, and Tchaikovsky's emotional symphony. Those who want to experience the Gauting Orchestra Association live should save the date, October 25, 2026.
