Alessandro Marano brings European sound worlds to light

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Kleine Saal in Gasteig HP8 transforms into an atmospheric concert venue for a special piano evening. At the autumn concert, Italian pianist Alessandro Marano presents a program that combines lyrical elegance, romantic sound language, and the structural clarity of Central European repertoire.

Between Beethoven, Liszt, and Italian Modernism

Marano focuses on cultural connections between Italy and the German-speaking world. Works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Liszt meet compositions from Italian modernism by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Antonio Casagrande. This creates a musical dialogue between familiar masterpieces and rarely heard sound colors.

An internationally profile pianist

Alessandro Marano was trained by Giuseppe Maiorca and musically influenced by pianists such as Edith Fischer, Paul Badura-Skoda, Aldo Ciccolini, and Bruno Canino. His concert activities take him to stages in Europe, North and South America, and even to Carnegie Hall in New York. His playing combines the warm, song-like line of the Italian tradition with precise articulation and pronounced structural clarity.

Poetic colors in the Kleine Saal

The orchestration of the evening unfolds entirely at the piano: from touch, dynamics, pedal technique, and finely graded synchronization. In the Kleine Saal of Gasteig HP8, the contrasts between Beethoven's classical architecture, Liszt's romantic virtuosity, and the Mediterranean color palette of Italian modernism can unfold directly. A concentrated live atmosphere and proximity to the stage performance make the piano evening an intense concert experience.

An autumn evening for classical music lovers

The autumn concert is aimed at all those who want to experience piano music in its full stylistic diversity. Between poetic finesse, brilliant virtuosity, and musical reflection, an evening is created that makes European music history audible not as a rigid chronicle, but as a lively exchange.

Those who want to experience Alessandro Marano live will find the Gasteig HP8 to be the perfect setting for a sonorous evening of classical music, romantic repertoire, and Italian modernism. Secure your ticket and experience the special excitement of a personal piano evening in the concert hall.
