Celebration Concert at the Cuvilliés Theatre: Classical Music in a Golden Rococo Environment
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the historic Cuvilliés Theatre in Munich will transform into a festive concert hall. The Residence Soloists will present a classical concert in one of the most important Rococo theatres in Europe – where Mozart’s Idomeneo was premiered.
Music in a Magnificent Setting
Golden boxes, artistic ornaments, and the intimate acoustics of the Cuvilliés Theatre create an extraordinary live atmosphere. Each phrase is given space, each orchestral line gains contour. The historical setting combines with precise stage performance and a focused, immediate concert experience.
Residence Soloists with Classical Virtuosity
The Residence Soloists stand for festive concert evenings featuring works from the grand European classical tradition. The program of this celebration concert includes Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto in B-flat Major KV 595, Frédéric Chopin's Polonaise, Ludwig van Beethoven's 1st Symphony in C Major, and Edvard Grieg's suite from Peer Gynt. Misora Ozaki will be at the piano.
An Evening Between Mozart, Beethoven, and Grieg
From the clear sound of Mozart to Chopin's elegant piano music, through to the symphonic energy of Beethoven and Grieg's colorful orchestration, the concert evening will guide through different sound worlds. Conducting, synchronization, and dynamic shaping meet the special resonance of the historic theatre space.
Festive Audience Atmosphere in the Heart of Munich
The Cuvilliés Theatre makes attending the concert a cultural event in itself. Between residence architecture, classical music, and a focused audience atmosphere, a night for lovers of Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Grieg is created.
