Classic Meets Pop Vol. 3: Two Worlds, One Sound in the Johannissaal
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, the historic Johannissaal in Nymphenburg Castle transforms into a stage for an extraordinary cello concert. The CelloNation Cello Quartet combines classical sound culture with modern pop hits, creating a concert experience that blends elegance, energy, and emotional stage performance.
Cello Sound Meets Great Pop Moments
When four cellos play together, a full, warm sound with special depth emerges. In Classic Meets Pop Vol. 3, classical orchestration, precise synchronization, and chamber music conducting meet familiar melodies from pop and mainstream. The program ranges from familiar earworms to modern chart moments, opening new perspectives on well-known songs.
Smooth Criminal, Mamma Mia, and More
The program includes Smooth Criminal, Simply The Best, A Thousand Years, Enchanted, Mamma Mia, and Golden. In the interpretation of the CelloNation Quartet, these titles acquire a new musical texture: string sounds replace the familiar band sound, rhythmic accents propel the arrangements forward, and the historical room acoustics give the pieces a special atmosphere.
Live Atmosphere in Nymphenburg Castle
The Johannissaal on the first floor of the right wing of Nymphenburg Castle combines historic architecture with a concentrated concert atmosphere. The audience experiences about 75 minutes of music without a break, carried by expressive cello voices, subtle dynamic transitions, and a diverse dramaturgy. Classical music lovers and fans of modern pop music meet in a program that playfully dissolves musical boundaries.
An Evening Concert for Many Tastes
Classic Meets Pop Vol. 3 is aimed at everyone who wants to discover familiar songs in unusual arrangements. The blend of classical precision, modern pop dramaturgy, and emotional stage performance ensures an entertaining concert evening in the stylish ambiance of the castle.

Classic Meets Pop Vol. 3 promises an intense concert experience with well-known melodies, classical sound aesthetics, and energetic arrangements. Anyone wanting to hear pop hits from a new perspective and experience the unique live atmosphere of the Johannissaal should not miss this concert evening in Munich.
