Eddi & Friends at Gasteig HP8: Concert evening with Wise Guys nostalgia and West African rhythms
On Friday, October 9, 2026, Eddi Hüneke and his ensemble were set to perform in Hall X of Gasteig HP8 in Munich. The concert has since been canceled. Tickets already purchased can be returned to the respective box office, according to the organizer.
Musical encounter with Eddi Hüneke
A versatile evening was planned with Eddi Hüneke, formerly a member of the Wise Guys, his keyboardist Tobi Hebbelmann, and producer and drummer Jan Niemeyer. The open tour concept relied on spontaneous moments, personal stories, and an immediate live atmosphere.
Sari and Ibou Kalaama as special guests
For the Munich date, Marc Sari Sahr and Senegalese singer and percussionist Ibou Kalaama were announced. Sari shares a decades-long stage history with Hüneke from their time with the Wise Guys. Ibou Kalaama was expected to bring new tones to the concert with his expressive voice, West African rhythms, and the calabash.
Between groove, humor, and improvisation
The planned concert experience promised a mix of wit, groove, good stories, and spontaneous stage performance. Different musical backgrounds were to come together in a lively orchestration – accessible, humorous, and with plenty of space for musical surprises.
Date and cancellation
The performance was scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM in Hall X of Gasteig HP8. The organizer announced that the concert unfortunately will not take place. Tickets already purchased can be returned at the respective box office.
Conclusion: The announced evening with Eddi Hüneke, Sari, and Ibou Kalaama will not be a live concert in Munich. Ticket holders should contact their box office directly for returns.
