A trombone with funk DNA

Fred Wesley is among the defining musicians of funk. His collaboration with James Brown, Maceo Parker, and George Clinton made him a key figure of the genre. In Munich, his distinctive trombone meets the Hammond organ of Leonardo Corradi and the versatile drumming of Tony Match.

Generations: Jazz roots and modern groove

The program Generations originally arose as a tribute to the legendary organist Jimmy Smith. It evolved into a distinctive sound between jazz tradition, soul, funk, and electronically influenced rhythms. Corradi's energetic organ playing forms the harmonic foundation while Match brings impulses from jazz, Africa, and modern club music.
