Herbert Pixner Project brings alpine sound worlds to Munich

On Friday, October 9, 2026, the Herbert Pixner Project will perform at 8:00 PM in the Isarphilharmonie at Gasteig HP8. With Symphonic Alps Reloaded, the distinctive musical language of the Herbert Pixner Project encounters the rich sound of the Tonkünstler Orchestra.

Alpine World Music meets Symphony

Herbert Pixner combines diatonic accordion, jazz, flamenco, blues, and tango into a distinctive sound. His compositions thrive on precise synchronization, free improvisation, and a stage performance that alternates between intimate moments and orchestral power.

A Concert between Tradition and Modernity

In Munich, neo-folkloristic motifs blend with contemporary orchestration. The Isarphilharmonie provides the perfect setting: its concentrated acoustics highlight fine instrumental details as well as the large dynamic arcs of the orchestra. The result is an evening concert full of contrasts, energy, and atmospheric depth.

Live Atmosphere with Musical Freedom

The Herbert Pixner Project stands for a lively audience atmosphere, virtuosic instrumental artistry, and the courage to push musical boundaries. Between driving rhythms, warm melodies, and surprising twists, a concert experience arises that does not folkloristically preserve alpine sound images, but transfers them into today.
