Kafka Band plays Kafka: Literature becomes a dark live experience at Ampere

On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the music of the Kafka Band merges with the literary world of Franz Kafka at Ampere in Muffatwerk Munich. The evening begins at 7:00 PM and transitions from a reading by Jaroslav Rudiš into an atmospheric concert blending dark rock, multilingual performance, and European literature.

When Kafka's characters gain sound

The Kafka Band translates key motifs from Kafka's novels into an intense stage performance. Texts and moods from The Castle, America, and The Trial meet a sound oscillating between indie rock, dark rhythm, and theatrical concert aesthetics. Czech, German, and English merge into a multifaceted musical narrative.

Reading and concert as an evening full of tension

Jaroslav Rudiš opens the evening with a reading from his novel Where the Dead Speak. Later, the Kafka Band brings the literary themes to the stage. The combination of language, orchestration, live acoustics, and precise synchronization creates a concert experience where narrative and music reinforce each other.

Dark rock, clear images, strong audience atmosphere

In the club ambiance of Ampere, the music unfolds its immediate effect: driving grooves, distinctive guitar lines, and a concentrated stage performance collide with Kafka's sense of alienation, search, and movement. The compact location creates short distances between stage and audience, making every nuance of the sound palpable.

An extraordinary crossover for music and literature fans

The Kafka Band unites musicians from well-known Czech formations like Priessnitz, Tata Bojs, and Letní kapela with the writer Jaroslav Rudiš. The project has translated Kafka's literary themes into concert and theater productions, thus developing a distinctive form between reading, rock concert, and musical play.

Conclusion: Experience Kafka live

Visitors can expect an unusual cultural evening on October 14, 2026, featuring readings, dark rock, and multilingual stage poetry. Those who want to experience literature not just read but physically feel will encounter a concert in Ampere with its own sound language and intense live atmosphere. Secure your tickets and discover Kafka in a new musical dimension.
