Sebastian Studnitzky brings Memento Odesa to Pullach
On November 26, 2026, the Great Hall at the Bürgerhaus Pullach will transform into a resonance space for memory, hope, and musical connection. Sebastian Studnitzky presents the moving project Memento Odesa together with the Chamber Orchestra of the Philharmonie Odesa – a concert bridging jazz, classical, and improvised music.
Orchestral soundscapes between jazz and classical
Memento Odesa was created in the summer of 2023 in collaboration with the Chamber Orchestra of the Philharmonie Odesa under the direction of Volodymyr Dikiy. Amidst the ongoing war, the recording became an artistic homage to the resilience and courage of Ukraine. Studnitzky's compositions combine orchestral depth with neoclassical, jazzy, and cinematic elements.
Trumpet, piano, and ensemble-wide breath
Sebastian Studnitzky plays trumpet and piano with a sound that combines precision with emotional openness. His stage performance thrives on controlled timbres, finely placed pauses, and a sensitive synchronization with the orchestra. He is accompanied by Tim Sarhan on drums and Paul Kleber on bass.
A special evening at the Bürgerhaus Pullach
The Great Hall of the Bürgerhaus provides ideal conditions for the connection between the chamber orchestra, rhythm group, and solo improvisation, with its wide stage and orchestra pit. The live atmosphere arises from the interplay of acoustic transparency, orchestral expansiveness, and the immediate expression of the trumpet.
An award-winning musician
Sebastian Studnitzky is one of the most versatile musicians in Germany. He has been awarded the ECHO Jazz and Opus Klassik and works as a trumpeter, pianist, and composer at the intersections of jazz, classical, and electronic music. His musical career has also brought him together with artists and formations such as Nils Landgren, Wolfgang Haffner, Jazzanova, Mezzoforte, and Dominic Miller.
Conclusion: Music as a sign of memory and hope
Memento Odesa promises not an ordinary concert, but an intense concert experience with great emotional and musical breadth. The audience can expect orchestral soundscapes, improvised moments, and a stage performance that focuses on the unifying power of music. Those who experience jazz, modern classical, and compelling live music should not miss this evening at the Bürgerhaus Pullach.
