Andalusian Christmas with Flamenco, Guitars, and Southern Joy of Life
On December 3, 2026, KUBIZ Unterhaching will transform into a poetic Christmas world of Andalusia. Ricardo Volkert and his ensemble combine vibrant flamenco guitars, multi-part singing, expressive dance, and narrative passages to create a festive concert experience during Advent.
When Christmas Carols Sound Like Andalusia
Melodic Villancicos alternate between lively joy of life, fine humor, and tenderly melancholic moments. The traditional Spanish Christmas songs tell of the futile search for shelter, the three Holy Kings, and quirky episodes surrounding the birth of Christ. This creates a colorful sound painting that connects festive warmth with the temperament of flamenco.
Flamenco Guitar Meets Dance and Song
Ricardo Volkert takes on guitar, singing, and entertaining moderation. Roberta Ragonese Pajarita, Samira Kirschhofer, and Carmen López shape the evening with singing and dancing. Jost-H. Hecker on cello and Ludwig Himpsl on percussion expand the orchestration with warm, rhythmic, and striking sound colors.
A Poetic Journey Through Spain's Christmas World
Between temperamental rhythms and calm passages, Ricardo Volkert leads through stories about the land and its people as well as about the Spain of yesterday and today. The stage performance thrives on the interplay of language, musical synchronization, dance presence, and immediate audience mood.
Live Atmosphere at KUBIZ Unterhaching
The large theater hall of KUBIZ provides the perfect setting for this Andalusian Christmas evening. Acoustics, light, and proximity to the stage create a focused concert atmosphere where flamenco guitar, voices, percussion, and dance can fully unfold their effect.
Conclusion: Advent Once Southern, Passionate, and Surprising
Merry Christmas! brings the sound of Andalusia to Unterhaching and combines Christmas stories with flamenco, humor, and musical virtuosity. Those who want to enrich Advent with a special live atmosphere, temperamental rhythms, and poetic images will experience an evening full of sensuality and joy of life.
