Anna Buchberger opens the sound world of the night in the Michael Hall
On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Anna Buchberger invites you to an atmospheric piano recital at the Jesuit Church of St. Michael as part of the 18th Munich Organ Autumn. Under the title Nocturnes, the concert pianist and professor at the Munich University of Music and Theatre dedicates herself to the poetic, introspective side of the piano.
Between calm, melancholy, and radiant intensity
The program leads into musical spaces characterized by nocturnal silence, subtle shades, and inner movement. In the Michael Hall, the piano unfolds its direct, concentrated sound: Each touch carries weight, each pause becomes part of the dramaturgy.
A pianist with an extraordinary concert biography
Anna Buchberger was musically trained as a child, debuted at the age of seven in the Herkulessaal, and won numerous national and international piano competitions. Among her musical influencers are András Schiff, Jacques Rouvier, Lang Lang, and Léon Fleisher. The press has recognized her technical sovereignty and artistic maturity.
Nocturnes as a concentrated listening experience
The concert combines precise articulation, differentiated dynamics, and a sensitive stage performance. Instead of grand gestures, the intimate effect of the piano is the focus. The acoustics of the historical setting create a special live atmosphere where melodic lines, harmonic tensions, and the finest sound colors become immediately tangible.
An evening in the 18th Munich Organ Autumn
The piano evening is part of the 18th Munich Organ Autumn, which takes place from October 4 to 18, 2026, at St. Michael. The event starts at 8:00 PM in the Michael Hall of the Jesuit Church of St. Michael. Due to limited seating, it is advisable to secure tickets in advance.

Anna Buchberger's recital Nocturnes promises an intense concert experience between nighttime mood, musical precision, and emotional closeness. Anyone wanting to experience the special audience atmosphere of a concentrated piano evening should not miss this date in Munich.
