The Sisters of Mercy bring dark cult sound to Kesselhaus Munich
On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, Kesselhaus in Motorworld Munich transforms into a resonance space for Gothic Rock, Post-Punk and industrial energy. The Sisters of Mercy will perform at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:30 PM. The concert is sold out.
A band between shadows, pressure, and great rock history
Since their founding in 1980 in Leeds, The Sisters of Mercy have shaped a distinctive sound: Andrew Eldritch's distinctive voice meets the stoic drum machine Doctor Avalanche, sharply drawn guitars and an atmosphere between urban coldness and monumental rock dramaturgy. Punk, psychedelic, industrial and influences from David Bowie merge into a soundscape that has sustainably shaped Gothic Rock.
Floodland, Vision Thing and the power of great songs
With the album Floodland, the band achieved international breakthrough in 1987. Songs like This Corrosion, Dominion and Lucretia My Reflection developed into anthemic classics with epic orchestration and dark dance floor energy. Vision Thing in 1990 focused on a harder, more hard rock-influenced sound without abandoning the characteristic drum machine pulse and lyrical ambiguity.
Live atmosphere in the industrial Kesselhaus
In Kesselhaus, the dense guitar textures and programmed rhythms meet distinct industrial architecture. High spaces, concrete, steel and a powerful live sound create the right framework for a stage performance that relies more on immediate impact than nostalgia. The audience's mood varies between concentrated listening, dark ecstasy, and singing along to great classics together.
Support: The Hiveminds
As support, The Hiveminds will join the evening. This adds extra excitement and stylistically appropriate preparation for the dark sound world of The Sisters of Mercy before the main set begins.
Conclusion: A must-see for Gothic Rock fans
The Sisters of Mercy stand for an intense concert experience with deep sound, iconic songs, and a unique live atmosphere at Kesselhaus. Anyone wanting to experience the band in Munich should note that the event is already sold out.
