The Ukelites bring Swing, Soul and Aloha to Neuperlach

On Friday, October 16, 2026, the KulturBunt Neuperlach will transform into a colorful sound space for Jazz, Soul, Rhythm’n’Blues, Rockabilly, Pop, and Hawaiian classics. The Ukelites combine fine ukulele sounds with warm vocals, dynamic brass lines, and a stage performance that oscillates between jazz club, dance floor, and musical beach bar.

An unusual lineup with a unique sound

What started as a duo for living room concerts has grown into a Munich formation with a quartet arrangement. At the center is Miri Hein with vocals and ukulele. This is complemented by saxophones, Hawaiian Steel Guitar, ukulele bass, and drums. This instrumentation creates a distinct orchestration: bouncy rhythms meet smooth melodies while brass arrangements and steel guitar colors give the sound a distinctive touch.

From Jazz and Soul to Hawaiian classics

The Ukelites' repertoire moves through several musical worlds with great stylistic confidence. Jazzy harmonies, soulful warmth, and the driving pulse of Rhythm’n’Blues gain a special character through ukuleles and Hawaiian Steel Guitar. Rockabilly, Pop, and Hawaiian classics enhance the program with lively grooves and exotic sound colors.

Jungle Swing meets live energy

New to the program are original pieces from the first studio album Jungle Swing. The songs demonstrate how consistently The Ukelites condense their influences into their own style. Precise synchronization, striking saxophone lines, and lively drumming create musical tension, while the ukulele weaves through the concert as a common thread.
