Everything Except Flowers: Reinhard Geiger at KUBIZ Unterhaching
What happens when a casual question becomes the starting point of an exhibition? Reinhard Geiger answers with an artistic presentation that consciously moves beyond the classic flower motif. Under the title Everything Except Flowers, the artist will showcase works at KUBIZ Unterhaching from November 9 to 29, 2026.
An Exhibition Title as an Artistic Statement
The frequently asked question directed at Reinhard Geiger about what he paints led to the idea of this exhibition. The title opens up a consciously broad space for the examination of the works: The focus is not on a single motif, but on the diversity of painterly engagement. The exhibition invites visitors to explore the visual language, composition, and personal perspective of the artist attentively.
Painting Between Expectation and Discovery
Everything Except Flowers promises an art experience that plays with visual habits. The exhibition atmosphere at KUBIZ provides the suitable framework to engage with different forms, colors, and themes. In the aesthetic experience before the originals, details gain significance: Color tones, line work, contrasts, and the spatial effect of the works reveal themselves immediately in observation.
Cultural Education through Open Work Examination
The exhibition is aimed at everyone who wants to experience painting without thematic limitations. It opens a low-threshold access to contemporary art and makes visible how a seemingly simple impulse can become a curatorial idea. The openness of the exhibition title encourages formulating personal questions about the works and developing individual interpretations.
A Place for Art in Unterhaching
KUBIZ, the cultural and educational center of the municipality of Unterhaching, connects cultural events with opportunities for encounter and education. As an exhibition venue, it creates immediate proximity between the audience and art. Reinhard Geiger's presentation thus integrates into a vibrant cultural space in the district of Munich.
Conclusion: Experiencing Painting Beyond Familiar Motifs
Everything Except Flowers invites a concentrated examination of the works and a personal aesthetic experience. Art enthusiasts will discover an exhibition at KUBIZ that develops a promising artistic theme from an everyday question. Those who want to experience painting openly, curiously, and immediately should visit this exhibition from November 9 to 29, 2026, in Unterhaching.
