Kalif Storch: Magical Children's Theatre for Little Explorers
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Munich Theatre for Children will transform into a magical world of fairy tales, transformations, and exciting adventures. Families will experience a child-friendly theatre performance with imaginative characters, surprising twists, and plenty of room for wonder at Kalif Storch based on Wilhelm Hauff.
A Fairytale Journey Full of Magic
Kalif Chalid from Baghdad and his loyal Grand Vizier Mansor discover a mysterious magic powder. It allows them to transform into animals and understand their language. However, an impulsive moment puts them in a difficult situation: as storks, they cannot return to their human form.
Tension, Humor, and an Enchanted Owl
In search of a way out, the two meet an owl that is actually an enchanted princess. Together, they confront the evil wizard Kaschnur. The story combines magical tension with humorous moments and encourages children to think about courage, friendship, unity, and the consequences of their own choices.
Age-Appropriate with Educational Value
The production is suitable for children aged 6 and up and lasts about 1 hour and 35 minutes including a break. This family experience supports children's development through shared listening, engaging in suspense, and imaginative understanding. Theater creates a special learning experience: children encounter language, music, movement, and stage designs in a vivid, emotional form.
Quality Time at the Munich Theatre for Children
The Munich Theatre for Children has long stood for professional performances in a family atmosphere. Acting, music, costumes, and stage design bring the fairytale story to life. Children's laughter, curiosity, and shared wonder make the theatre visit a valuable break from everyday life.

Kalif Storch invites families on an imaginative journey to Baghdad. Little and big visitors can expect a heartwarming children's theatre piece with tension, humor, and important themes around friendship, trust, and courage.
