Magical Adventures with the Little Witch in Munich
On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the Munich Children's Theater opens its stage for an imaginative family experience based on the popular children's book by Otfried Preußler. The little witch wants to do good but must stand up against the rules of the great witches. Children aged six and up will experience a heartfelt story about courage, friendship, helpfulness, and the power of following one's own path.
A young witch with a big heart
The little witch is not old enough to dance at Walpurgis Night. Nevertheless, she diligently practices her magic and tries to become a particularly good witch. Things go wrong along the way: clothespins and white mice create surprising moments, while her loyal raven Abraxas always stays by her side.
Excitement, humor, and child-friendly learning experiences
On her journey, the little witch helps people and animals. She ensures that the chestnut man no longer has to freeze and stands up for the ox Korbinian. The production combines fairy-tale excitement with humorous ideas and conveys to children that compassion, fairness, and civil courage are more valuable than blind obedience.
Quality time in the children's theater
The theater experience engages the imagination and invites families to discuss good decisions, friendship, and solidarity. Children discover a colorful stage world, experience children's laughter and wonder, and collect a vibrant learning experience away from everyday life. The performance lasts about an hour and 50 minutes, including a break.
Information for families
The performance is suitable for children aged six and up and begins on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The admission ranges from 13 to 18 euros depending on the price category. The Munich Children's Theater is located at Dachauer Straße 46 in Munich. Wide doors facilitate access to the venue.
Conclusion: A fairy-tale theater afternoon
The little witch promises an imaginative family experience filled with excitement, humor, and important impulses for childhood development. Those who wish to combine quality time, learning fun, and a lovingly told story will experience a special afternoon full of magic at the Munich Children's Theater.
