A beautiful day in Theater Absurdistan
When nine adventurous characters meet a circus, a mysterious acrobat, and the great riddles of everyday life, a stage experience between dream and reality begins at 3sine Oberhaching. Theater Apropos connects in its new production texts from Karl Valentin to Monty Python with its own ideas and self-composed music.
Where desire and reality meet
The staging leads into a world where a park bench becomes a lookout post, a steamer a fleeting apparition, and Mrs. Basch's dog the trigger for a small surreal investigation. Doors knock, names disappear, glasses are searched for, and a carpet receives a highly suspicious treatment. The dramaturgy does not follow a straight line, but a poetic stream of thought full of surprising twists.
Between Karl Valentin and Monty Python
The evening draws from the black humor, precise language comedy, and the lovingly quirky perspective of two great comedic traditions. The acting craft of Theater Apropos relies on clownish characters, absurd situations, and quiet moments. From the interplay of dialogue, movement, and music arises a collage full of charm, wit, and melancholy.
Music, light, and the quiet questions of life
Self-composed music accompanies the scenes and gives the theater atmosphere its own rhythm. When Irmchen's little umbrella dances, two characters unsuccessfully try to start a conversation, or a wish concert sounds from the radio, the stage opens for sensual images between variety, dream play, and everyday comedy.
The curtain falls, but the band plays on. The question of happiness remains: fleeting, funny, perhaps right next door. The production invites you to view the world from a different perspective for one evening – quirky, poetic, and with a fine sense of the melancholy behind laughter.
Conclusion: Theater as a rendezvous with the impossible
A compact, musical stage experience with absurd humor, poetic moments, and a distinctive staging is expected.
