THE MAN TRAP: Comedic Relationship Strategies at the Galli Theater Munich
When love becomes a strategic challenge, a pointed stage play about the big questions of coexistence begins at the Galli Theater Munich. Johannes Galli's comedy The Man Trap combines turbulent situational comedy with a winking look at partnership, expectations, and the art of keeping a man.
A Therapy with Surprising Side Effects
Gisela Bock seeks advice from the experienced therapist Mrs. Senfstößl. Her mission sounds as mundane as it is explosive: How do you keep your man? The therapist approaches the relationship problem with psychological insight, unusual methods, and a specially developed man-holding technique. What emerges turns into a surprising, provocative, and highly entertaining experiment.
Comedy with Direct Audience Interaction
The production relies on precise timing, pointed dialogues, and the immediate energy of performance. Helena George and Katrin Thomaschewski guide the characters with visible joy in acting through a dramaturgy where advice, self-assertion, and relationship comedy constantly swap roles. The Galli Theater principle brings the art of acting close to the audience and creates a lively theater atmosphere.
An Evening Full of Wit and Recognition
Between therapeutic experiments, personal despair, and surprising twists, a stage experience emerges that humorously reveals relationship patterns. The audience experiences a compact evening performance lasting about 75 minutes. The Galli Theater Lounge opens one hour before the start; entry into the theater begins at 19:40.
