Wiener Blond bring Viennese wit and musical energy to the Lustspielhaus

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the Munich Lustspielhaus transforms into a musical neighborhood gathering: Wiener Blond presents their program Is was g'wesen? and combines Viennese charm, pointed everyday texts, and versatile live music into a stage experience that is both charming and rhythmically precise.

Between Loop Station, Beatbox, and Viennese Accent

Verena Doublier and Sebastian Radon have been performing together on club, cabaret, and concert stages since 2012. From a beatbox groove duo with loop station, two microphones, and songs about subway rides, spritz wine, and scrambled eggs, they developed an independent musical cosmos. The performance thrives on the duo's immediate presence, surprising twists in the text, and a distinctive two-part harmony.

A Concert Evening with Dramatic Wit

Is was g'wesen? takes the audience through the previous musical phases of Wiener Blond. Classics from the debut album Der letzte Kaiser meet current songs from Sinfonien im Souterrain, the studio album released in 2023. After tours with a band and salon ensemble, Doublier and Radon return to the focused duo configuration. This reduction sharpens the dramaturgy: voices, rhythm, loop station, and wit come into play directly with each other.

Musical Acting Between Cabaret and Concert

Wiener Blond connects concert, cabaret, and stage performance. Their music has groove, their texts observe everyday life with loving sharpness, and the Viennese accent becomes their own sound body. The stage design is left to the imagination: the focus is on acoustics, timing, physicality, and the visible joy of playing together. This creates a theatrical atmosphere in which every pause, every beat, and every punchline unfolds its effect.

An Evening for Friends of Intelligent Entertainment

The Lustspielhaus in Schwabing provides the perfect setting for this direct, communicative evening. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the show begins at 8:00 PM. Admission costs from 26.00 euros. Wheelchair accessible seating is available through the ticket office of the Lustspielhaus; a mobile ramp is provided at the entrance if needed.

Wiener Blond promises not a polished concert format, but a lively stage experience full of rhythm, wit, and musical playfulness.
