Parking at BMW Welt: Parking Garage, Fees, E-Charging Stations, and Access
The access by car is clearly signposted: Follow the signs for “Olympiapark/BMW Welt” on the Mittleren Ring and then the indications to the parking garage directly under the BMW Welt. The maximum entry height is 2.0 meters – important for vans or vehicles with roof boxes. Charging points for electric cars are available on-site; the payment for charging processes is handled via the respective charging cards of the connected providers in the e-commerce charging network.
The parking rates are transparent and particularly attractive for short stops: The first 15 minutes are free. After that, 3.00 euros per hour apply; the maximum daily rate is 23.00 euros. Payment in the parking garage is cashless with EC or credit card. Those who only want to quickly visit the shop or drop off passengers benefit from the free short-term parking option. Tip for peak times: Since the number of spaces is limited, BMW Welt recommends arriving by public transport – especially on weekends, public holidays, or during concurrent events.
Even without a car, access is convenient: From Munich Central Station, it takes about 15–20 minutes by subway. Take the U2 towards Feldmoching to Scheidplatz and transfer there to the U3 towards Moosach/Olympiaeinkaufszentrum (OEZ). Get off at the Olympiazentrum station – from here it is just a few steps to the entrance of the BMW Welt. From Munich Airport (MUC), the BMW Welt can be reached in about 30–40 minutes by taxi/rental car or in about 45 minutes by S/U-Bahn (e.g., S1 to Moosach, then U3 to Olympiazentrum). Special regulations apply for coaches; buses do not park in the underground parking area of the BMW Welt. Those arriving by bicycle will find designated parking options above ground. Overall, the location at Olympiapark is optimal for combining the visit with a walk or other Munich highlights.
Admission, Tickets, and Tours: BMW Welt Free – BMW Museum with Ticket
A major plus point: Admission to the BMW Welt is free. You can explore the brand areas at any time during opening hours, be inspired by changing vehicle presentations, browse in the shop, or take a culinary break – all without a ticket. For in-depth insights, a guided tour of the BMW Welt is recommended: Open tours last about 60 minutes, are limited to a maximum of 20 participants, and are offered in German or English. Group tours can be booked individually. Tickets are available online; on busy visitor days, advance booking is recommended.
The opposite BMW Museum requires a ticket. The guideline prices (including VAT) are: 17.00 € for the individual ticket, 9.00 € reduced, 16.00 € per person in a group (from 5 people), and 38.00 € for the family ticket (max. 2 adults and 3 children under 18 years). Museum tickets can be booked online with a time slot; remaining tickets are available on-site depending on availability. Important: In the BMW Welt and the BMW Museum, cash payments for admissions, tours, and workshops are not possible; accepted are common cards as well as Apple/Google Pay. A practical combo day could look like this: Morning BMW Welt, lunch break in the Bavarie or Cooper’s Garden, followed by the BMW Museum. If you want to get to know the production side, also check the factory tours at the BMW Group Plant Munich (separate booking, limited places).
Photo enthusiasts take note: In the public areas of the BMW Welt, photographing and filming for purely private purposes is allowed, provided that no security or personal rights are violated. Special permits apply for commercial recordings according to the house rules. This way, you can capture your motifs stress-free – particularly exciting are sightlines in the double cone, reflections on glass fronts, and vehicle presentations at the premiere.
Restaurants & Shop: Bavarie, Cooper’s Garden, Biker’s Lodge, and Lifestyle
Feinkost Käfer is responsible for the gastronomy in the BMW Welt – accordingly, the offer is of high quality and varied. The Brasserie Bavarie by Käfer serves modern, regionally influenced cuisine with French brasserie flair. Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 12:00 PM–3:00 PM and Tuesday to Saturday 6:00 PM–10:00 PM; on Sundays and public holidays, the Bavarie is closed. Due to its popularity, a reservation is recommended, especially in the evenings and on Saturdays. For a small hunger or an uncomplicated breakfast, Cooper’s Garden on the ground floor is ideal: daily 8:30 AM–6:00 PM, warm kitchen until 2:00 PM, many dishes also available for takeout. Motorcycle fans head to the Bikers Lodge (typically 10:00 AM–5:30 PM), which is directly adjacent to the BMW Motorrad exhibition area – perfect for a coffee after the brand round.
The experience is complemented by the BMW Welt Lifestyle & Accessory Shop (daily 10:00 AM–6:00 PM). Particularly practical is the partner program “CarVia x BMW Welt,” through which you can rent selected BMW models on-site via app for up to one day – ideal for integrating a test drive into your Munich stay. If you are looking for photo motifs, you will find them in abundance: The double cone with its glass structure, floating ramps, and open galleries create exciting perspectives. For action shots, the brand areas are suitable when vehicle operations or product demonstrations take place. Please note the house rules: photographing and filming for purely private purposes is permitted in the public areas; tripods, drones, or extensive professional equipment may require permission. Consideration for other guests and restricted areas of the organizers is a given. BMW Welt is a must-visit in Munich! Modern, stunning architecture building with a huge, interactive showroom. Great for seeing the latest BMW models, including electric cars, Mini and Rolls Royce. Free entry if you choose to visit it without a tour guide. Perfect warm-up to the BMW Museum next door. Clean, spacious, and family-friendly. A car lover’s dream!

Amazing German brilliance. The displays are phenomenal and the building is an example of how to present your product at its best. The museum which is separate from BMW world is well worth the small fee to access. Superb facilities for toilets and refreshment. Some of the vehicles on display are magnificent and there are no translation issues as English is everywhere. The interactive displays are all operational with no units faulty. The information available is outstanding. Great parking underneath with electric charging points in abundance. Do not miss this attraction.

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the BMW welt, museum and factory tour all in the same day. Before our visit to BMW welt I had downloaded the carvia app on my phone. Hoping we could rent a BMW convertible during our visit and drive across southern Bavaria. #Deutsche Alpenstraße German Alpine Road. Dream Trip! Lucky for us, at the BMW welt we met the gentleman that made all this come true. A young man named Tarkan helped us get the carvia app setup to make our rental a reality. He was very helpful and made the process very easy. Two days later we drove off in a beautiful BMW Z4 Convertible. We enjoyed 4 days across Southern Bavaria - Amazing Trip!! A beautiful showroom with beautiful displays, exclusive models to see, sometimes even some sports legends. I also like to visit with the BMW museum. I like it here.

Easy to find the parking. Plenty of spots available at the car park. Reasonable fee. Will use it again in the future.
