Not very friendly staff. Disorganised and not streamlined office procedures. Asked for additional documents because they do not believe official government documents that are readily accepted by other cities BUT Unterschleißheim... Car registration is also not possible here. Sad for a place that prides itself as being a "Stadt".

The citizens' office has moved to the savings bank building. Appointments are always available quickly, and the staff are very friendly.

The option to book an appointment online is a great and very convenient idea. However, when it comes to driver's licenses, one thing needs to be changed (personal experience): I have a Spanish driver's license (EU) that I wanted to renew. One of the appointment options was either "Renew Driver's License" or "Convert Foreign Driver's License to EU Driver's License." Naturally, I chose the first option, since my license is from an EU country. At the appointment, however, I was told that I needed to bring additional documents – information that was only listed under the second option and, of course, I hadn't seen. In my opinion, the name of this second option should be changed, as it's very confusing – even for German speakers. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to, and it was a waste of time. I hope there will be a solution soon so that no one else has to deal with this problem. However, at the appointment, I was told that I needed to bring additional documents – information that was only listed under the second option and that I hadn't seen it. Furthermore, I had already sent an email several months prior to inquire about how to convert my Spanish driver's license to a German one. The reply was delayed and consisted only of a link to schedule an appointment, without any further explanation. I hope that the professionalism and customer service of the staff will improve in the future.
