Cole & Porter Bar | Cocktails & Reservations

The Cole & Porter Bar is one of the addresses in Munich that at first glance appears to be a stylish café and at second glance is much more: bar, restaurant, lounge, meeting place for the afternoon, and event location for special evenings. The official website describes the location as a place in the heart of Munich's city center where you can eat, drink, and meet from morning until late at night. The namesake Cole Porter is not only present in the name but also palpable in the decor and atmosphere, as the concept consciously plays with the lifestyle of the famous composer and lyricist. This includes Hausbrandt coffee, breakfast, cakes, lunch, dinner, lovingly mixed drinks, wine, and champagne. The bar is part of HOFSTATT at Sendlinger Straße 10, thus combining a central city location with a secluded, elegant courtyard situation. This mix makes the place interesting for various search intentions: those looking for directions and parking find a clear city center location; those looking for cocktails and reservations encounter a bar with a wide selection; and those searching for events discover a flexibly usable location for private and business occasions. The menu also clearly shows that drinks are not the only focus here, but a full-day gastronomic concept with snacks, pasta, pinsa, salads, and warm dishes. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/))

From an SEO perspective, the Cole & Porter Bar is exciting because several important themes overlap: central location, good accessibility, terrace, reservations, celebration options, kitchen, cocktails, and a special ambiance. The bar is located near Marienplatz and Sendlinger Tor, making it attractive for both tourists and locals looking for a city center address with a relaxed atmosphere. Those wandering in the old town on a shopping or workday can stop by for coffee in the morning, have lunch, and stay for a drink in the evening. The location is suitable for quick visits as well as longer meetings. The event page also shows that the house is not just intended as a daytime bar: different seating and standing concepts are available inside and on the terrace, optionally with a dance floor or DJ. This flexibility is a strong selling point for groups, celebrations, and corporate events. That the kitchen is open all day, according to HOFSTATT, complements the image of a location that consciously blurs the transition between café, restaurant, and bar. For visitors, it’s not just about what is served, but also the feeling of being in a place that functions relaxed during the day and lively in the evening. Why the Name Cole Porter Shapes the Bar

The name of the location is no coincidence but part of the concept. On the official homepage, the bar explains that the famous American composer and lyricist Cole Porter can be found both in the decor and the ambiance. This gives the location a cultural narrative that goes beyond mere bar operations. The name connects musical elegance with an urban, stylish appearance. This is important for guests because it shapes the expectation of the visit: those who enter Cole & Porter do not expect an ordinary pub but a bar that brings together atmosphere, musical feeling, and enjoyment. The wording on the website also shows that the house consciously places the theme of joie de vivre at the center. From morning coffee to evening champagne, a wide arc is drawn that keeps the location open for different times of the day. This is a big part of the brand's impact: the name is easy to remember, melodic, and elegant, while also explaining the design character of the spaces. This is interesting for seekers who expect not just an address but a strong identity location with terms like Cole Porter or Cole & Porter Bar. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/))

The spatial and gastronomic use also fits the name. HOFSTATT describes Cole & Porter as a place with all-day open kitchen, selected spirits, and fine wines served at an open counter. This conveys not only function but style. Additionally, the bar is not reduced to a single usage scenario. Morning coffee and breakfast, light dishes at noon, cakes and aperitifs in the afternoon, cocktails, wine, and champagne in the evening: this sequence makes the location a continuous meeting point. For brand perception, this is very valuable because the name Cole Porter does not remain merely decorative but carries the entire visit process. The ambiance is apparently intended to reflect this interplay of elegance, enjoyment, and sociability. The official language is consciously inviting, personal, and slightly cultivated. For content and SEO, this means: those looking for a special bar in Munich should not only think of drinks here but of a whole experience. The name reference gives the location recognizability, and this recognizability is a reason why the term Cole Porter is so strongly linked to the brand in the bar's environment. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/))

The location's practical advantages are particularly strong. Officially, the location is at Sendlinger Straße 10 in the Munich city center, within HOFSTATT. The bar's directions page lists the main public transport options as the U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations Marienplatz and Sendlinger Tor, from which it is about a five-minute walk to the bar. For guests moving in the old town, the bar is ideally accessible without having to take long walks or complicated transfers. Also, for visitors who are in the city center during the day, the position is practical: the location is in an area that can be easily combined with shopping trips, business appointments, or an evening in the center. The combination of Sendlinger Straße, HOFSTATT, and proximity to Marienplatz and Sendlinger Tor creates the image of an urban address that is right in the action yet can function as a retreat. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/))

Regarding parking, the official directions explicitly mention parking spaces nearby, including the HIRMER parking garage. For drivers, this is an important note, as city center locations in Munich often require good planning. The wording on the website is deliberately pragmatic: it does not boast complex parking guarantees but provides realistic orientation to nearby options. For all who prefer to come by public transport, the barrier-free city center location is also an advantage, as one can quickly reach the bar after getting off at Marienplatz or Sendlinger Tor. This makes the Cole & Porter Bar interesting not only for a planned dinner but also for spontaneous meetings after work or for a drink following an appointment in the city. HOFSTATT complements the location image as an inner-city shopping and gastronomy ensemble at Sendlinger Straße 10. So, for those looking for directions, parking, or a central location, Cole & Porter provides a clear answer: right in Munich, easily accessible on foot, with parking options nearby and a location that seamlessly integrates into the city center visit. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/Cole-Porter-Bar/Anfahrt/))

Cocktails, Wine List, and Kitchen All Day

The culinary profile of Cole & Porter is significantly broader than that of a classic cocktail bar. The official website describes the place as a spot for coffee, breakfast, cakes, lunch, dinner, drinks, wine, and champagne. The drink menu additionally shows a wide selection of classic drinks, signature drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, amari, brandy, cognac, whisky, gin, rum, vodka, tequila, mezcal, and other spirits. This makes the bar interesting for different target groups: whether someone is looking for an espresso martini or a melon cocktail, they will find a suitable environment just as much as those who prefer an aperitif, a glass of wine, or a non-alcoholic alternative. The menu is thus not only versatile but also very clearly structured. Particularly striking are the house specials like spritz variations, negroni interpretations, and creative long drinks that underscore the claim to an independent bar culture. The product range on the menu is extensive enough to cater to both uncomplicated visits and targeted bar evenings. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/))

The kitchen is also not a side show. HOFSTATT lists popular dishes such as Thai curry, optionally vegetarian or with chicken or salmon, as well as Caesar salad, fresh pasta, and toasted sandwiches for a small hunger. The official menus include pinsa, pasta, salads, and bar food. Among the pinsa variations, there are options like burrata, verdure, culatello, salami piccante, tonno, tartufo, salmone, and carpaccio. The pasta offerings include gnocchi tartufo, arrabiata, genovese, filetto di manzo, and fresh ravioli. The salads range from burrata to tonno and goat cheese to Caesar salad. Additionally, there are small bar snacks like olives, parmesan with fig mustard, parma ham, milanese salami, grilled vegetables, and various toasts. This variety explains why the bar works well not only for drinks but also for longer stays. Especially the combination of Mediterranean, Italian-influenced, and slightly international dishes is attractive for the city center location. It supports the image of a place where you can easily transition from coffee to lunch and from dinner to cocktails. ([hofstatt.info](https://www.hofstatt.info/en/shops/cole-porter/))

Reservations, Celebrations, and Events for Small and Large Groups

The Cole & Porter Bar is explicitly positioned as an event location. The event page states that the location is suitable for birthday parties, business lunches, product presentations, Christmas parties, family celebrations, and weddings. This is an important signal for anyone looking for a central, stylish, and flexibly usable address in Munich. The bar makes it clear that it does not only serve drinks but actively plans events. Interested parties can come by, call, or contact via email. The reservation page additionally explains that email reservations are only valid with confirmation and that last-minute bookings should be made by phone. This is a practical note as it facilitates planning and avoids misunderstandings. The location is thus suitable not only for walk-in customers and spontaneous meetings but also for structured group inquiries. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/Events/))

The event data also shows how flexible the spaces are. Inside, there are 35 seats, 70 to 80 standing places, and an area of 55 square meters. The courtyard terrace offers up to 60 seats and 130 standing places. A glass sliding element connects the terrace and bar, allowing both areas to be combined depending on the weather and occasion. A dance floor and DJ are available upon request, and menus or flying buffets are individually arranged. This mix of structure and adaptability makes the location so attractive for celebrations. It is large enough not to feel cramped while still being small enough to remain personal. Anyone planning a celebration in the city center additionally benefits from the good accessibility and clear location in the HOFSTATT complex. This makes the Cole & Porter Bar an address that can work for both private occasions and business formats. In practice, this means: reserve, coordinate wishes, adjust menu or buffet, and utilize the urban atmosphere for your event. The location is thus much more than a bar with a beautiful counter; it is an actively usable event venue with a clear service orientation. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/Events/))

Terrace, Ambiance, and Practical Visiting Tips

A particularly strong feature of the Cole & Porter Bar is the courtyard terrace. HOFSTATT describes it as spacious and partially covered; the glass elements create an open transition between indoors and outdoors. This is a significant advantage, especially in a city center location, as you are not only in a closed space but also get a sense of openness and tranquility in the midst of an urban environment. The official text also emphasizes that the terrace offers a break from the hustle and bustle of the city center. This tension between central location and protected courtyard is the actual appeal for many guests. On one hand, you are right in Munich; on the other hand, you sit in an atmosphere that feels relaxed and slightly secluded. Additionally, the open counter inside enhances the feeling of a lively yet elegant bar. The combination of indoors and outdoors, bar and terrace, daytime operation and evening mood makes the place versatile and simultaneously distinctly recognizable. ([hofstatt.info](https://www.hofstatt.info/en/shops/cole-porter/))

For practical visits, besides location and terrace, service and facilities are also relevant. The listing sources describe the bar as a lounge bar with warm and cold dishes, outdoor dining area, and various payment options, including cash, debit card, and credit card. The official website emphasizes personal service, which aligns with the overall picture of a carefully managed city center location. HOFSTATT states current opening hours as Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 AM, Thursday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 AM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 AM, and closed on Sunday. Combined with the statement that the kitchen is open all day, this results in a model that works for both early times and late evenings. So, for those looking for a location for breakfast, lunch, aperitif, dinner, or after-work, the bar can be utilized at several times of the day. It is also practical that the location's pages refer to reservations and events, making it easy to plan a visit. In summary, Cole & Porter is interesting not only because of the drinks but because of the overall package of terrace, central accessibility, all-day kitchen, harmonious ambiance, and versatile usability. Those looking for a stylish address in Munich's city center will find a location that fulfills exactly this claim. ([falstaff.com](https://www.falstaff.com/de/bars/cole-porter?utm_source=openai))

Opening Hours, Everyday Life, and Why a Visit is Worthwhile

In everyday life, the Cole & Porter Bar is particularly attractive because it does not function like a pure evening bar. The official website speaks of a place where you can eat, drink, and meet from morning until late at night. This ranges from Hausbrandt coffee and breakfast to cakes and lunch, all the way to dinner, drinks, wine, and champagne. HOFSTATT complements this image with the note that the kitchen is open all day. This creates a flexible usage concept that makes the location in Munich's city center particularly valuable. People who are out in the city during the day can stop by here without detours. Those who want a drink after work will find the same place later in the evening in a different mood. And those planning a longer visit on the weekend benefit from the late opening hours on Friday and Saturday. This temporal flexibility is a key part of the attraction. It also fits with the location in HOFSTATT, where shopping, gastronomy, and city center traffic come together. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/))

So why is a visit worthwhile? Because the location bundles several search intentions in one place. Those looking for a cocktail bar in Munich get a strong drink menu with classic and creative drinks. Those looking for directions or parking find a central, clear location close to Marienplatz, Sendlinger Tor, and parking garage options. Those looking to reserve or for events discover a location with structured booking logic and adaptable spaces. Those looking for food get pasta, pinsa, salads, Thai curry, snacks, and toasts. And those seeking a special atmosphere find a courtyard with a terrace that slightly filters out the city's hustle and bustle. This bundling makes the Cole & Porter Bar a strong address for visitors of all kinds. It is neither too complicated nor too arbitrary but clearly positioned: stylish, central, flexible, and gastronomically versatile. For SEO and content, this is particularly valuable because here, not a single keyword decides but the interplay of location, kitchen, drinks, terrace, events, and name history. The Cole & Porter Bar is thus a place where city life, enjoyment, and celebration culture meet very harmoniously. ([coleandporter.de](https://www.coleandporter.de/))

A great vibe, we sat at the bar, and pretty good prices, especially for the center. Coffee was good, and bartenders looked like they know what they're doing.

It’s a hidden gem. Behind the bar there is a small courtyard, where it’s located. It’s a very cozy and private place. We got our vegetarian dishes, Caesar’s salad and Thai Curry with rice. Both the dishes were excellent. The ambience was very romantic. Our server Apurva was very courteous and helpful. Don’t miss it !!
