Eschengarten | Menu & Beer Garden in Munich

The Eschengarten in Munich-Lerchenau is much more than an address at Ebereschenstraße 17. The location is situated at the district sports facility Lerchenau, combining club restaurant, restaurant, and beer garden, and is firmly rooted in the local life of northern Munich. The official website describes the establishment as a place of encounter and togetherness, which was created in 1986 through the efforts of the participating clubs and is now run by a family in the second generation. Additionally, there is a changing lunch offer, celebration possibilities, a playground for children, and Bundesliga broadcasts. This mix makes the Eschengarten attractive for neighbors, sports enthusiasts, families, and guests looking for uncomplicated, down-to-earth cuisine. Menu and Lunch Menu at Eschengarten

Those looking for the Eschengarten menu, the menu, or the restaurant in Munich will find a pleasantly wide selection on the official menu page. The menu is clearly structured and ranges from salads and soups to small portions, grilled specialties, house dishes, fish, and desserts. Particularly striking is the mix of classic German and Southeast European cuisine: In addition to schnitzel, roast pork, cheese spaetzle, onion roast beef, and beef broth, there are also cevapi, raznjici, pljeskavica, ajvar, djuvecreis, and stuffed meat dishes on the menu. This makes the Eschengarten culinarily independent and explains why it is perceived by many guests not only as a beer garden but also as a down-to-earth restaurant with regional and Balkan influences. Even the fish and dessert selection fits into this profile: cod fillet, char fillet, shrimp, vanilla ice cream with hot cherries, and warm chocolate cake ensure a menu that has something for different preferences. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/menu))

Especially search-friendly and practical is the changing lunch menu. On the homepage, it is mentioned as a weekly offer from Tuesday to Friday between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM, each priced at 10.90 euros. The dishes change weekly, for example, with oven-fresh roast pork, currywurst, or creamy pasta with pesto and mozzarella. The gastronomic profile is complemented by seasonal promotions such as grilled fish, skewered specialties, or asparagus weeks. The official website also mentions take-away meals, offers for children and seniors, as well as individual arrangements for celebrations as a buffet or à la carte. So, those searching for Eschengarten Munich menu or Eschengarten menu will find not only individual dishes but a versatile, well-structured offer with everyday utility, family-friendliness, and opportunities for larger occasions. Opening Hours, Reservations, and Helpful Contact Information

The Munich business directory provides a clear picture of the opening hours: The Eschengarten is closed on Mondays, open from Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. InTravel confirms these times in a similar form and additionally states that the location is currently open, reinforcing the impression of a reliably operated day and evening business. In practice, this means: The Eschengarten is suitable for both a lunch during the week and a late dinner on the weekend. This is an important plus for users searching for Eschengarten opening hours, restaurant Munich, or beer garden with long opening hours. ([orte.muenchen.de](https://orte.muenchen.de/265039.html?utm_source=openai))

Reservations and contact are also easily handled. The official website explicitly states that one can reserve a table or ask a question; for this, a contact form, phone, and email are available. The provided phone number is 089/351 18 99, and the email address is eschengarten-muenchen@gmx.de. So, those searching for Eschengarten reservation, Eschengarten contact, or Eschengarten Munich phone will find quick access. For the stay itself, InTravel mentions a rather cozy, relaxed atmosphere with toilet, dine-in, takeaway, and reservation options. This fits well with a location that wants to serve families during the day, working professionals at lunchtime, and groups of friends or club guests in the evening. The midday offer is particularly useful as it makes the location a predictable and price-attractive destination during the week. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/))

Directions, Parking, and Location in Munich-Lerchenau

The Eschengarten is located at Ebereschenstraße 17 in 80935 Munich, directly at the district sports facility Lerchenau. This location is interesting for many users searching for Eschengarten map, Eschengarten Lerchenau, or Eschengarten Ebereschenstraße Munich. The surroundings are not the classic city center location, but a neighborhood and sports environment in northern Munich. This gives rise to the special character: Those who come do not visit an anonymous gastro area but a location with a clear positioning in the district, in club life, and in the everyday life of the surroundings. The official address and the embedding in the district sports facility also make it clear that it is not an isolated excursion restaurant but a real sports and club restaurant with a direct connection to the neighborhood. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/))

Accessibility is also practical. InTravel mentions several bus stops in the immediate vicinity: Pulverturmstraße, Goldlackplatz, and Olschewskibogen are all just a few hundred meters away. For drivers, the platform also points out free parking options along the street; additionally, a wheelchair-accessible parking space, a barrier-free entrance, and barrier-free seating are noted. For search queries like Eschengarten directions, Eschengarten parking, or Eschengarten Munich map, these are exactly the details that matter. Those traveling from the city area can therefore plan relatively flexibly: by bus from the neighborhood, by car via the surrounding streets, or on foot from the nearby vicinity. The combination of local location, parking options, and short distance to stops makes the Eschengarten particularly practical for everyday use. Beer Garden, Atmosphere, and Why the Eschengarten is Popular

The fact that the Eschengarten is often searched for as beer garden Eschengarten is no coincidence. The Munich business directory lists the location in the category of restaurants: beer gardens, and InTravel also describes it with outdoor seating, drinks, beer, wine, coffee, and desserts. The atmosphere is classified there as casual and cozy, meaning relaxed and comfortable. This mix is exactly what makes it appealing: no over-staged trend concept, but a down-to-earth place where food, drink, and stay have equal importance. Additionally, according to the official service offering, Bundesliga is also broadcasted. So, if someone is looking for a place to sit outside in good weather and still watch sports if needed, they will find a suitable combination of sociability and club closeness here. This dual role is particularly important for search terms like Eschengarten restaurant, beer garden Munich, or sports restaurant Eschengarten. ([orte.muenchen.de](https://orte.muenchen.de/265039.html?utm_source=openai))

The Eschengarten is also interesting for families. The official website mentions a playground for little guests and a menu offer for children and seniors. InTravel adds high chairs, child-friendly facilities, and pet-friendliness. This is a practical advantage for many visitors, as the location thus works not only for regular guests or sports enthusiasts but also for family outings, spontaneous meeting points, and relaxed afternoons. The combination of a convenient location, outdoor area, lunch menu, and uncomplicated service makes the Eschengarten a place where one can drop in without much planning. Those looking for photos, reviews, or a first impression will typically expect exactly this mix: solid cuisine, casual atmosphere, and an environment that feels more like a neighborhood than a stage. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/))

Celebrations, Sports Restaurant, and Family Business in the Second Generation

An important part of the Eschengarten's identity is its function as a place for private celebrations. The official website explicitly mentions birthdays, weddings, and other occasions and promises that everything will be organized. This is complemented by the possibility of planning buffets or à la carte. This is interesting for anyone searching for Eschengarten celebrations, Eschengarten wedding, or Eschengarten event. At the same time, it becomes clear that the location is not only intended for a quick restaurant visit but also for larger, more personal moments in life. Because the team focuses on individual arrangements, the Eschengarten feels less like a standard restaurant and more like a flexible neighborhood location with an established host role. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/))

Since January 1, 2025, the next generation will continue the operation. According to the official website, Milka and Dušan Savković took over the restaurant in 2011 and have run it for over a decade; since early 2025, the daughters Aleksandra and Dragana have been leading the Eschengarten in the second generation. This family story is a strong SEO and image factor because it conveys authenticity and prevents the establishment from appearing as an interchangeable gastro object. At the same time, the Eschengarten is deeply connected with the clubs SV Nord München-Lerchenau, Hu VTV Edelweiß-Stamm, and FC Eintracht München. According to the website, the club restaurant was largely built by members of these clubs through their own efforts, the V.I.G.-Lerchenau was founded in 1984, and the restaurant was inaugurated in 1986. So, anyone searching for sports restaurant Eschengarten will land at a place that has indeed emerged from club and neighborhood work. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/))

History, Clubs, and Special Identity of the Location

The historical dimension of the Eschengarten does not begin only with the current menu. According to the official representation, the club restaurant was created through the joint efforts of local clubs and was opened on July 19, 1986, after just one year of construction. The owner is the non-profit club interest group Lerchenau e.V., which was founded in 1984 and has acted as the administrator since completion. These facts are important for SEO research because they clearly mark the Eschengarten as a grown neighborhood institution. It is not just a gastronomic address but part of a local structure of sports, club life, and neighborhood. This origin explains why the place radiates familiarity rather than distance for many people. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/))

This identity is also reflected in culinary terms. The menu combines dishes that one would expect in a Bavarian club restaurant with influences reminiscent of Southeast European cuisine. Roast pork on weekends, schnitzel, cheese spaetzle, and fish meet cevapi, raznjici, pljeskavica, and ajvar. Seasonal promotions such as grilled fish or asparagus weeks, as well as a daily lunch window with changing dishes, are also included. In total, a profile emerges that meaningfully connects the search terms Eschengarten Munich, Eschengarten restaurant, Eschengarten menu, Eschengarten opening hours, and beer garden Eschengarten. So, when visiting the location, one receives not only food and drink but a place with history, family continuity, and local roots. This mix is the core of the Eschengarten brand and the basis for a strong, sustainable search intention. ([eschengarten.com](https://www.eschengarten.com/menu))

Spectacular! The food, beer, service, and atmosphere is amazing! I had the prawns. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the turkey Schnitzel. It was golden, tender, and delicious. I also enjoyed salad and the dessert... vanilla ice cream with cherries. Thanks to our friend, Christian, we finally had a meal that we all enjoyed.

Fairly priced food, way cheaper and better food than a lot of restaurants in the city. Dessert was a tiny bit stale but ice cream was amazing. Cordon Bleu was very good. A tad oily but acceptably so.
