A very picturesque windmill that puts you in mind of a scene more Dutch than Deutsch, perhaps. The park is full of great photo ops, great views, great palaces, and great statuary. Kind of suitable for Frederick the Great, I suppose. Fraulein Sinay says: While the windmill is great for a photo, I am not convinced that it is worth paying for a ticket to enter, unless you are a milling aficionado. There are plenty of other places to see and enter and be more amazed by. Consider coming in the late autumn, when crowds are down but before it is intensely cold.

It was surprisingly fun visiting the windmill, of course, partly because that was my first time being inside of one on a windy day. One can climb the stairs all the way to the outside platform of the windmill and enjoy a nice view of the surrounding areas. The windmill is in walking distance from the main schloss, and the ticket to visit the windmill is included in the Schloss combi ticket. One just needs to show the Schloss ticket at the entrance.

The historic mill is another charming part of the entire Sanssouci complex. It is located very close to the palace itself and is a must-see! The mill is greatly preserved and provides you with a unique glimpse into the milling traditions here! Beautiful scenery and landscapes outside and in proximity to the mill! Spend some time exploring!

Stunning windmill that is still actively working. You can climb the stairs to the top and stand outside on the balcony to overlook the city. At the very top, you can see the cogs turning and examples of how they used the mill to grind grain. Note: the entire exhibition is in German. No other languages offered.

Nice historic windmill. A little disappointing that the restaurant outside was closed on a great summer day. We also did not really like the bread we bought - looked very nice, but turned dry very quickly. We went back to our favorite sourdough bread from our local baker.
