Technikum Munich | Concerts & Parking
The Technikum Munich in Werksviertel-Mitte is one of those locations where history and the present come together in a remarkably compact way. Where Pfanni products were once tested, today stands a flexible event venue for concerts, readings, conferences, and corporate events. Its location at Speicherstraße 26 in the east of Munich makes the Technikum particularly interesting for visitors who appreciate an urban atmosphere, short distances, and a clear functional structure. With 450 square meters of event space, hall, foyer, and gallery, the venue is consciously aimed at medium-sized formats. The official Werksviertel states a capacity of up to 757 people, while the event factory's venue info lists up to 765 standing places. This size ensures that the Technikum does not feel anonymous, yet still provides enough space for energy, audience, and event technology. Particularly exciting is the combination of industrial history, modern facilities, and good accessibility at Ostbahnhof. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
Technikum Munich in Werksviertel-Mitte: History, Location, and Character
The Technikum is deeply rooted in the history of the area. The official Werksviertel site describes the location as a former place where Pfanni tested various product innovations. This industrial origin is still palpable today, as the architecture and the neighborhood structure give the site a clear, unobstructed character. The Technikum thus does not belong to the smooth multifunctional halls without soul, but to the places that bring their own context. Therefore, those searching for Technikum Werksviertel or Technikum Munich today will find not just an event space, but a piece of Munich's urban development that has visibly transformed. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
The classification within the neighborhood is also important for perception. The Technikum is located directly in Werksviertel-Mitte, in a district that has developed from a former production area into a vibrant mix of culture, gastronomy, work, and leisure. The official venue info describes the location as east of Munich's city center, well connected to regional and national transport routes, close to Ostbahnhof, and with ideal connections to Messe München and the airport. For visitors, this is a clear advantage, as the journey can be planned sensibly not only by car but also by train and S-Bahn. For organizers, this location creates a professional framework that works equally well for conferences, business formats, and concerts. ([eventfabrik-muenchen.de](https://www.eventfabrik-muenchen.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/01/efm_en_venue-info_technikum.pdf))
The special feature of the location is the balance between proximity and openness. The Technikum is described on the official site as a place for conferences, corporate events, readings, and smaller concerts. This makes the use very broad, but always remains within a manageable size framework. This is precisely what distinguishes the location from large halls: The audience is close to the stage, the distances are short, and the spatial structure with hall, foyer, and gallery ensures that events feel organized but not sterile. Those searching for Technikum Eventlocation or Technikum Werksviertel Mitte will therefore find an event address that is suitable for both cultural evenings and business setups. The fact that the Eventfabrik Munich handles event inquiries further underscores the professional event framework at the location. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
Technikum Munich today: Concerts, current events, and usage
The interest in Technikum Munich concerts is completely understandable, as the location is clearly positioned for live formats. The official Werksviertel site explicitly names the Technikum as a place for smaller concerts, and the listed dates regularly show a wide range of live music and other event types. The event page of Werksviertel-Mitte currently features continuously new concert dates, confirming the impression of a very actively used venue. For visitors searching for Technikum Munich today, this dynamic programming is important: The Technikum is not a static space, but a stage with ongoing operations and recurring live evenings. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
The Eventfabrik Munich also emphasizes the technical equipment on its location page, which supports the concert profile. Mentioned are state-of-the-art lighting and sound technology, presentation technology on request, catering as desired or with an in-house caterer, as well as offices and artist dressing rooms. Additionally, there is a note that the Technikum can be wonderfully expanded with the adjacent handWERK or combined with the WERK7 theater. For concert events, this means that the venue is not only intended for the performance itself but also for backstage logistics, audience management, and additional event components. Therefore, those attending concerts here experience a place designed for smooth processes and a clear, professional presentation. ([eventfabrik-muenchen.de](https://www.eventfabrik-muenchen.de/location/technikum/))
The current usage also shows that the Technikum is more than just a music venue. The official pages explicitly mention conferences, corporate events, and readings in addition to concerts. This creates a versatile program identity that is quite in demand in Munich: during the day a business or professional audience, in the evening live music, and in between cultural formats with small to medium audiences. This versatility is a core argument for search queries like Technikum Munich today, Technikum Tickets, or Technikum Eventlocation. Those looking for a location with an urban profile and professional infrastructure will find here a long-term solution that works not just for individual large events. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
Technikum Munich parking, access, and barrier-free access
For a Munich event location, the question of Technikum Munich parking and Technikum Munich access is central. The official accessibility page of Werksviertel-Mitte states that there are designated disabled parking spaces on the premises for people with the appropriate permit, both above ground and in underground garages. Access is via Friedenstraße into Atelierstraße and then onto the premises to one of the parking garages Autosaal and Autospeicher or just before Umadum. This is important for visitors because the neighborhood, while very central, still has a clearly regulated traffic flow. Those arriving by car should therefore check the neighborhood logic in advance and not assume a classic right of way directly to the door. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/barrierefreiheit/))
At the same time, the Technikum is very well connected to public transport. The venue info from the Eventfabrik describes the location as directly at Munich Ostbahnhof, with good connections to the city center, highways, the fair, and the airport. This location makes the journey by S-Bahn, regional train, or in combination with walking particularly attractive, especially for guests coming from other cities or wanting to return easily in the evening. This is also a plus for concerts, as the arrival and departure waves can usually be better distributed due to the proximity to Ostbahnhof than at peripheral event locations. Therefore, for search queries about Technikum Munich today or Technikum Tickets, not only the program is relevant, but also the mobility question. ([eventfabrik-muenchen.de](https://www.eventfabrik-muenchen.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/01/efm_en_venue-info_technikum.pdf))
Barrier-free access is not just an addition at the Technikum, but part of the location description. Werksviertel-Mitte points out that access to the TonHalle, Technikum, and WERK7 theater is at ground level and that there is a barrier-free WC in all three locations. Additionally, the site notes that wheelchair spaces are regulated differently depending on the event and should be coordinated with the organizer in advance. For people with mobility impairments, this is an important detail as it creates planning security and reduces unnecessary uncertainties. Combined with the clearly described access routes and parking options, this creates a location that remains practical despite its urban setting. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/barrierefreiheit/))
Technikum Capacity, Floor Plan, and Room Distribution at a Glance
The topic of Technikum Capacity is one of the most important search concerns overall, as it directly indicates which event sizes the location is suitable for. The official Werksviertel site mentions up to 757 people, while the venue info from the Eventfabrik lists up to 765 Pax for standing formats. For theater seating, 358 seats are indicated, and for parliamentary setup, 190 seats are specified. It becomes immediately clear that the Technikum is particularly strong in the segment of medium-sized events. It is large enough for a real live or business experience but small enough to create proximity between the stage, audience, and speakers. This mixture makes the location so attractive for concerts, presentations, and professional events. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
The room structure is also precisely described. According to the Eventfabrik, the event area comprises about 450 square meters, divided into hall area, foyer, and gallery. The venue info states that the total area is 324.57 square meters on the ground floor, of which 253.83 square meters is the hall and 70.74 square meters is the foyer, complemented by a gallery of 58.33 square meters. The hall measures 22.7 meters in length, 16.29 meters in width, and 5.20 to 7.90 meters in height. This is particularly useful for organizers as it improves concrete planning: The location can be designed for row seating, standing concepts, or mixed formats without the space appearing arbitrary. So, those looking for a realistic seating plan or a manageable hall logic will find a comprehensible framework here. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
Additionally, there is the stage side. According to the venue info, a fixed stage of 14 x 5 x 1 meters is available, and the loading zone leads without stairs over a roughly twelve-meter route to the stage, and a ramp is present. This logistics is invaluable in everyday event operations, as setup and teardown become significantly more manageable. Furthermore, the location provides technical specifications such as door widths, room heights, lighting points, and the equipment for material delivery. Especially for concerts, product presentations, or hybrid corporate events, not only the pure capacity counts but also the question of how efficiently equipment, personnel, and guests can be managed. The Technikum clearly shows here that it is not just a beautiful space but also a functionally well-thought-out event venue. ([eventfabrik-muenchen.de](https://www.eventfabrik-muenchen.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/01/efm_en_venue-info_technikum.pdf))
Technikum Munich: Technology, Catering, and Services for Events
A strong argument for the location is the professional equipment. The Eventfabrik Munich lists on the official location page state-of-the-art lighting and sound technology, presentation technology on request, catering as desired or with an in-house caterer, as well as offices and artist dressing rooms. Additionally, the venue info points out that the built-in event technology, including the in-house technicians, is mandatory. This is an important point for organizers as it standardizes technical quality and reduces the risk of improvisational solutions. For visitors, this ideally means a reliable experience with good sound, clear visibility, and professional support. This structure pays off especially for concerts or lectures. ([eventfabrik-muenchen.de](https://www.eventfabrik-muenchen.de/location/technikum/))
In terms of service, the Technikum is also well-equipped. The venue info mentions security and bar staff, as well as service staff and cloakroom personnel. Additionally, there are graphic services such as posters, flyers, banners, wristbands, tickets, and giveaways. This is attractive for organizers as they can coordinate many components from a single source. This saves time and prevents friction losses between different service providers. Those looking for an event location not just for the space but for overall organization will find at the Technikum a structured setup that can be used for conferences, corporate parties, cultural events, and brand appearances alike. This mix of space and service is crucial, especially for search queries related to Technikum Tickets or Technikum Eventlocation. ([eventfabrik-muenchen.de](https://www.eventfabrik-muenchen.de/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/01/efm_en_venue-info_technikum.pdf))
Another advantage is the combinability with other locations in Werksviertel-Mitte. The Eventfabrik explicitly points out that the Technikum can be expanded with the adjacent handWERK or combined with the WERK7 theater. This creates additional opportunities for side events, workshops, reception areas, or programmatic expansions. For larger corporate events or multi-part cultural evenings, this can be decisive, as different room characters can be meaningfully combined. The Technikum is thus not an isolated hall but part of a functioning neighborhood where multiple uses interlock. This is exactly what makes the location so interesting for professional event planning in the eastern part of Munich. ([eventfabrik-muenchen.de](https://www.eventfabrik-muenchen.de/location/technikum/))
Technikum Munich Tickets, current information, and why the location is so in demand
Those searching for Technikum Tickets are usually looking not just for admission but also for orientation: What is happening there, how large is the location, and for what occasion is a visit worthwhile? The answer is quite clear. The Technikum is regularly used for concerts, but also for readings, conferences, and corporate events. Current dates appear continuously on the official pages, reflecting the dynamism of the venue well. At the same time, the combination of industrial character, good accessibility, and compact room size makes the location attractive for many target groups. Events are not experienced in an anonymous large hall but in a space characterized by proximity, overview, and a clear neighborhood identity. This is a real selling point, especially for audiences who prefer intimacy and urbanity over size and distance. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
The everyday life of the location also shows why the Technikum is so in demand in Munich. The official description links the history of the place with a clear usage profile for smaller concerts and business formats. The venue info emphasizes the location behind the TonHalle and the direct integration into Werksviertel-Mitte, while the accessibility page documents the barrier-free access and the available parking and access solutions. From an SEO perspective, these points are the most important search motives: Technikum Munich parking, Technikum Munich concerts, Technikum capacity, and Technikum Munich today. From the user's perspective, these are the same questions that ultimately decide whether a visit or booking fits. The Technikum provides understandable, official answers to these questions. ([werksviertel-mitte.de](https://www.werksviertel-mitte.de/orte/technikum/))
The location is particularly strong because it convinces on several levels: historical context, urban environment, technical reliability, clear capacity, and good accessibility. For concert visits, proximity to the action is important; for events, the reliable infrastructure; and for marketing, the strong neighborhood brand of Werksviertel. Therefore, anyone looking for a location that works for both culture and business will find a very suitable address in Technikum Munich. And those who want to inform themselves in advance should always check the current event lists and official location information, as access, capacity, and program are continuously updated.
Very nice practical venue located in "Werksviertel", the street is an alley with eateries, not accessible by car (there are two garages nearby). I went there to a "Kingfish" Ingram concert, which was awesome. Great sound/acoustics. No food, just drinks.

Great sound, lights and thanks for opening the emergency door after the concert, creating two exits. However, the Garderobe is a disaster :( Why would you use hangers that take soooo much time to put the outdoor clothes on and take them off? Only two people dealing with a crowd, looking for the numbers on the small pieces of paper... really disappointing and lots of time wasted waiting. Hooks are much quicker to use.

Good thing to know is that you can only pay by cash. Great concert venue, we had the best time 🎊

The venue gets too hot during concerts, making it uncomfortable for both the audience and the artists. Better ventilation or air conditioning would greatly improve the experience.
