Tennis /Beachvolleyball Hirschau | Booking & Opening Hours
The Tennis /Beachvolleyball Hirschau is located at Gyßlingstraße 15 in Munich-Schwabing-Freimann and is considered one of the most pleasant outdoor sports venues in the city, as it does not feel like a classic sports facility on the outskirts, but rather offers a very open, green, and urban environment right in the English Garden. Those who play here not only get sand under their shoes but also the mix of park landscape, Munich beer garden culture, and a straightforward booking model that clearly caters to the everyday lives of tennis and beach volleyball players. Tickets and Court Booking at Tennis /Beachvolleyball Hirschau
When looking for tickets for Tennis /Beachvolleyball Hirschau, it usually refers not to an admission ticket like at a concert, but to a court-related reservation. This is important because the location functions not as an event hall but as a bookable sports venue. On the Urban Sports Club page, it states that the first court booking should be made by phone and that further reservations can be made through the booking tool on the website; it is also noted that payment can be made on-site. HobbyLiga lists an Eversports widget as a reservation system, clearly indicating the digital booking route. For many users, this is the relevant search intent behind terms like tickets, reservation, or booking a court: they want to know how to secure a court, when to book, and what rules apply.([urbansportsclub.com](https://urbansportsclub.com/en/venues/tennis-hirschau))
Prices also show that Hirschau is designed for uncomplicated sports use. HobbyLiga lists a 10-visit card for the sand tennis court at 150 euros, excluding holidays, and a single price range of 16 to 24 euros. For the beach volleyball court, prices range from 18 to 25 euros. Urban Sports Club also mentions a starting price from 24 euros and points out that discounted additional costs may apply on-site for certain bookings. This gives seekers a very clear picture: Hirschau is not a location with ticket pre-sales in the classical sense, but a facility with flexible, time-based booking. Those who want to play spontaneously should therefore reserve early, especially at sought-after times, as the number of courts is limited and demand is naturally high in such a central Munich location.([urbansportsclub.com](https://urbansportsclub.com/en/venues/tennis-hirschau))
Directions, Opening Hours, and Parking at Gyßlingstraße 15
When it comes to directions, the exact location plays a significant role. Hirschau is located at Gyßlingstraße 15 in Munich, and several directories consistently list the address. The listed opening hours are daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, making the facility interesting for early games before work as well as for later matches after work. Waze also lists customer parking and confirms that reservations on-site are possible. This is particularly convenient for players, as Hirschau functions not only as a beautiful but also as a practical sports venue. Those arriving by public transport can find a specific route in local descriptions: take the U6 towards the city until Dietlindenstraße, then continue with bus 59 to Osterwaldstraße and walk about ten minutes from there.([hobbyliga.de](https://www.hobbyliga.de/sportstaette/munchen/tennis-hirschau))
It is also easily accessible by car, but one should plan ahead due to the popular surroundings. Local notes about Hirschau describe that parking is available directly at the beer garden and restaurant, and that there may be additional parking options along Gyßlingstraße. Waze adds information about customer parking on-site. It is particularly important to distinguish between the sports part of Hirschau and the gastronomic environment: parking and access information often refer to the entire area, not just the tennis and beach volleyball facility alone. For practical use, this is actually an advantage, as sports, food, meeting points, and short distances can be very well combined here. Those arriving by bicycle also benefit from the location in the English Garden and the typical short distances in Munich, allowing for arrival without significant time loss.([waze.com](https://www.waze.com/de/live-map/directions/tennis-and-beachvolleyball-hirschau-gysslingstrasse-15-munchen?to=place.w.7602658.76026576.1077232&utm_source=openai))
7 Sand Courts and 2 Beach Volleyball Fields: The Sports Offer On-Site
The heart of the location is the playing opportunities themselves. Urban Sports Club describes Hirschau as a place with 7 beautiful tennis courts and 2 beach volleyball courts, and HobbyLiga confirms this division with 7 sand courts and 2 beach volleyball courts. Thus, the facility is primarily designed for sand tennis and summer volleyball, sports that are strongly associated with leisure quality, outdoor space, and social character in Munich. The courts are outdoor courts, which is crucial for the playing experience: one plays openly in the fresh air, with the surroundings of the English Garden as a backdrop and without the confines of a purely functional hall. The Munich tourism site emphasizes this point and describes Tennis Hirschau as a particularly idyllic place where one can play beautiful tennis right in the English Garden with a beer garden nearby. It is also mentioned that beach volleyball is possible and that the season begins at the end of March.([urbansportsclub.com](https://urbansportsclub.com/en/venues/tennis-hirschau))
For users, this means more than just a number of courts. The combination of 7 tennis courts and 2 beach volleyball fields makes Hirschau versatile enough for individual training, casual doubles, spontaneous matches, and summer gatherings with friends or teams. The local description adds that there is also a tennis school on-site, which makes the facility additionally interesting for players who are not only looking for free courts but also want to work on technique, tactics, or regular training. Overall, this creates a clear usage focus: Hirschau is not a large arena but a manageable, well-integrated sports facility that impresses with its clarity. Those who appreciate the atmosphere of an open sand court will find here a location that combines sporting concentration and summer lightness very well.([urbansportsclub.com](https://urbansportsclub.com/en/venues/tennis-hirschau))
English Garden, Beer Garden, and Special Atmosphere
A key reason why Hirschau is in such high demand is the special environment. Urban Sports Club explicitly describes the facility as a location in the middle of the English Garden, one of Munich's most famous green spaces. This environment makes the difference: instead of pure sports function, there is openness, shade, trees, and the typical Munich mix of activity and relaxation. The area also includes a wooden clubhouse that can be used after the game as a place for a drink or a short break. Urban Sports Club also mentions small summer parties and grill sessions, which clearly shows that Hirschau is not just a sports area but also a social meeting point. This combination of courts, nature, and uncomplicated togetherness explains very well why the location has remained popular for many years.([urbansportsclub.com](https://urbansportsclub.com/en/venues/tennis-hirschau))
The environment is additionally shaped by the Hirschau beer garden, which is mentioned in local descriptions as having around 1,800 seats. The same source also describes that the area was already mentioned in city maps in 1808 and that the inn and beer garden were renovated in 2013. This gives the location a historical depth that goes far beyond pure sports. Particularly charming is the fact that after the game, one only has a few steps to the beer garden, where sports and Bavarian inn culture directly intertwine. For visitors, this means a rare combination: first movement on the court, then relaxation in the shade of the chestnuts. This sequence makes Hirschau a summer address for many, which is not only booked for sports but for the entire experience.([tz.de](https://www.tz.de/muenchen/stadt/biergaerten-in-muenchen-preise-essen-und-getraenke-im-biergarten-zr-10009322.html))
Events, Training, and What Seekers Really Mean by Tickets
The keyword events can easily lead to misunderstandings at this location, as Hirschau is not a classic event center. Nevertheless, there are indeed event references, just in a different form: Urban Sports Club speaks of small parties and grill sessions in the summer, and reports around the Hirschau beer garden also mention that concerts and parties frequently take place in the parking lot behind the beer garden during the summer months. So those looking for events in connection with Hirschau encounter a very lively environment where sports, gastronomy, and summer gatherings are closely intertwined. The location is thus not only a place for the game itself but also for the framework before and after.([urbansportsclub.com](https://urbansportsclub.com/en/venues/tennis-hirschau))
For search queries regarding tickets, this is crucial: Hirschau does not sell stage tickets like a theater or hall but offers courts, time slots, and reservation options. This is where the practical benefit of the website and booking systems lies. When booking a court, one is essentially planning their personal mini-event on the court, whether it is a tennis match in the morning, a beach volleyball appointment in the evening, or a spontaneous summer afternoon with friends. The existence of the tennis school reinforces this impression, as the location is used not only for free play but also for structured training. Those seeking a program, event, or ticket will find at Hirschau more of a sporting experience area than a rigid event calendar. This openness is its great advantage.([munich.travel](https://www.munich.travel/artikel/sport-freizeit/sportveranstaltungen-und-sportangebote))
Prices, Booking Rules, and Practical Tips for Your Visit
To make the most of Hirschau, one should be familiar with the booking and pricing logic. Different sources show that the facility operates with a clear, time-based model: HobbyLiga lists a price range of 16 to 24 euros for tennis as well as a 10-visit card for 150 euros, while 18 to 25 euros are listed for beach volleyball. Urban Sports Club adds that bookings there are possible starting from 24 euros and that additional costs may apply on-site. Additionally, it is important to note that the first booking through Urban Sports Club should be made by phone and that subsequent reservations can be made through the website tool. For users, this means: those who want to have price and date in one hand should not only pay attention to the time but also to the booking route, as the exact processing may vary depending on user status and platform.([urbansportsclub.com](https://urbansportsclub.com/en/venues/tennis-hirschau))
Another practical tip arises from the limited number of courts. With 7 tennis courts and 2 beach volleyball fields, the facility is large enough for lively operation but small enough that popular times can quickly be fully booked. Therefore, early reservation is advisable, especially on weekends, sunny evenings, and at the beginning of the season. The listed opening hours from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM provide plenty of flexibility, and the daily availability makes Hirschau attractive for early risers as well as after-work players. Additionally, the facility's location in the English Garden makes it particularly easy to combine with a walk, a visit to the beer garden, or a short stay in nature. This is precisely why Hirschau functions not only as a sports venue but also as a flexible summer component in Munich's everyday life. Those looking for a location that combines uncomplicated booking, good accessibility, and genuine outdoor feeling will find a very well-rounded solution here.([hobbyliga.de](https://www.hobbyliga.de/sportstaette/munchen/tennis-hirschau))

Cozy, familiar space to play, have great coffee and chill in the beach chairs under the sun. Showering after playing is possible, making it perfect for a game before work. Around 8 very pleasant sand courts surrounded by trees and bookable online for usual prices.

Fantastic, unpretentious tennis club next to a wonderful beer garden which often has live music on weekends should you wish to listen to music and play tennis at the same time. Not that many courts compared to other tennis locations so book early on weekends. The clay courts are well maintained. Changing room facilities are decent and the club house has drinks on offer as well as other products related to tennis. The newly refurbished area also has beach volleyball courts open in Summer.
