Meeting Point Leisure | Program & Parking

The Meeting Point Leisure in Potsdam is not an ordinary venue for individual events, but a vibrant place for encounters, movement, creativity, and shared experiences. Located directly by the Heiligen See, the venue combines culture, family offerings, intergenerational work, and space rental on a site that functions just as well for everyday use as it does for special celebrations, workshops, courses, and festivals. Those searching for Meeting Point Leisure Potsdam, Meeting Point Leisure Program, or Meeting Point Leisure today will find a place that fulfills many search intentions simultaneously: current dates, holiday offers, café, room rentals, directions, parking, and seasonal events. This versatility makes the place particularly interesting for families, clubs, initiatives, schools, and organizers. Officially, the venue is described as a children’s, family, and intergenerational space with firmly established service structures, a large outdoor area, and an event hall that can be used for a wide variety of formats. Program, today and holiday offers at Meeting Point Leisure

The search queries related to Meeting Point Leisure Program, Meeting Point Leisure today, Meeting Point Leisure Musical, Meeting Point Leisure Theater, and Meeting Point Leisure holiday program clearly show that people are primarily looking for specific dates and experiential formats. Therefore, the official calendar of the venue is particularly important as it makes the wide range of offerings visible. Categories such as theater, music, dance, creative arts, open workshops, health, sports & relaxation, knowledge & learning, parent-child offerings, childcare, and counseling & life assistance can be found there. The venue caters to adults, teenagers, children aged 6 to 14, as well as seniors. This diversity demonstrates that Meeting Point Leisure is not a one-sided cultural venue, but an open center that brings together leisure, education, and social participation. For example, the Spring Festival with a children's flea market is announced for spring 2026, alongside inclusion days and an overview of the spring holiday program with offerings such as holidayTHEATER, holidayACTIVE, holidayCREATIVE, and holidayINCLUSIVE. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/home-2/))

This mix of open programming and fixed course formats is particularly attractive for parents and families. Meeting Point Leisure not only organizes individual events but also recurring offerings that span weeks, holidays, or seasons. These include winter playgrounds, holiday weeks, theater projects, movement formats, and creative offerings. The current program brochure also highlights many initiatives that go beyond the pure event character: from children's and youth work to family offerings and projects that strengthen community, health, or social responsibility. From an SEO perspective, this is important because users searching for terms like program, today, holiday program, or Easter holidays are often looking for a quick overview but simultaneously need a place that is reliable and versatile. Meeting Point Leisure meets this expectation because dates are bundled online, and the venue regularly communicates new programs. So, if someone is planning not just an evening event but an entire family afternoon or holiday start, they will find a place with real variety here. Renting space at Meeting Point Leisure: Hall, seminar rooms, and outdoor areas

A particularly strong search topic is renting space at Meeting Point Leisure. This is obvious, as the venue is suitable not only for its own program but also as a flexible event location. The official space rental explicitly mentions leisure offerings, seminars, conferences, and celebrations as typical occasions. Various types of rooms are available on the premises: the event hall as the largest area, along with a lecture room, rehearsal stage, large seminar room, small seminar room, and community room. The offer is complemented by a sports hall, activity room, and several outdoor areas. This is particularly interesting for organizers because small workshops, medium-sized group formats, and large celebrations can be organized in the same venue. It is also particularly practical that rooms can be used individually or in combination if an event requires more space, more pathways, or different program points. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/infopunkt/raumvermietung/))

The room sizes and capacities are clearly defined. The lecture room accommodates up to 45 people, the rehearsal stage room up to 40 people, the large seminar room up to 25 people, the small seminar room up to 12 people, and the community room also up to 25 people. The event hall can accommodate up to 250 seats with tiered seating or up to 120 seats with tables in the parquet. Additionally, there is a stage measuring 12 by 8 meters, sound and lighting technology, as well as presentation technology. The outdoor area is also designed for celebrations and group formats: the lakeside meadow covers about 1,300 square meters, and the sports meadow about 1,500 square meters. Thus, Meeting Point Leisure is a real choice for clubs, schools, family celebrations, cultural events, or conferences that are looking for not just a room but a harmonious environment. In the rental process, contacts, rental inquiries, and technical accessories are also transparently named, which significantly facilitates planning. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/infopunkt/raumvermietung/seminarraeume/))

From an SEO relevance perspective, this area is particularly important because searchers looking to rent space at Meeting Point Leisure often have a specific usage intention. They want to know not only if it is possible to rent but also which rooms are suitable for how many guests, whether technology is available, and if outdoor celebrations are also possible. Here, the venue excels with a rare good combination of hall, smaller group rooms, sports hall, and green spaces. The program materials of the venue also describe prices and technical options, such as for hall, event foyer, seminar rooms, or material rental. This makes the location not only emotionally attractive but also organizationally robust. Those looking for a place with a flexible room structure, family-friendly atmosphere, and well-planned infrastructure will find Meeting Point Leisure a very suitable address in Potsdam. Directions and parking at Meeting Point Leisure in Potsdam

The topic of parking at Meeting Point Leisure is a classic practical issue and is almost as important to many visitors as the program itself. The official contact and arrival point makes the location clear: the venue is located directly by the Heiligen See at Am Neuen Garten 64 in Potsdam. There are only about 40 parking spaces on the premises, and the BImA parking lot on Behlertstraße is mentioned as an additional parking option. Because the parking areas are limited and Behlertstraße is marked as a one-way street, the venue explicitly recommends arriving on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport if possible. This recommendation is not only a practical note but also an important hint for anyone planning events or expecting visitor flows. Those who arrive early can relax; those coming with children, strollers, or bags benefit additionally from good preparation. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/infopunkt/kontakt/))

The public transport connection is also clearly described. Bus 603 stops directly at the Meeting Point Leisure stop. Additionally, visitors can reach the venue via tram 92 or 96 to Rathaus, Potsdam, from where it is about a 10-minute walk along Behlertstraße. This mix of lakeside location, good accessibility, and limited parking space shapes the usage situation on site. For event guests, this means: those attending a larger event at the venue should think briefly about their arrival in advance. For organizers, this is an advantage because visitor communication can be formulated very concretely. The venue is not located somewhere in an industrial area but in a picturesque environment directly by the water. This creates atmosphere but also requires a bit more foresight regarding parking and arrival. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/infopunkt/kontakt/))

Especially in the context of Meeting Point Leisure Potsdam photos, Meeting Point Leisure today, or Meeting Point Leisure parking, a picture emerges that is both practical and emotional. The location by the Heiligen See is a real advantage when using the venue for family events, cultural formats, or quiet encounters. At the same time, the accessibility by tram and bus is an important argument for all those who wish to arrive without a car. Therefore, anyone choosing the location for a conference, celebration, or course should communicate directly in the invitation that the premises have limited parking spaces and that alternative routes are sensible. This avoids stress and makes the visit more pleasant. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/infopunkt/kontakt/))

Café Midi, food, and breaks in the house

When it comes to the keyword Meeting Point Leisure food, it usually does not refer to a large restaurant but to pleasant, everyday catering directly in the house. This is where Café Midi fits very well into the overall picture. On the official website of Café Midi, Meeting Point Leisure is explicitly described as a place for the whole family. The café sees itself as a culinary complement to the leisure, cultural, and meeting offerings of the venue. The café page mentions a daily changing lunch offer, as well as cakes, snacks, and drinks. This is particularly valuable for families because an outing, a course afternoon, or a visit to an event does not have to fail due to a long break or the question of the next bakery. The meeting point thus becomes not only an event venue but also a real place to stay. ([cafemidi.de](https://cafemidi.de/))

The official opening hours page states that Café Midi is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm to 6 pm. This is a practical framework for afternoons, weekends, and family visits. At the same time, the website shows that the café is embedded in the overall concept of the venue: it accompanies programs, holiday formats, flea markets, and family activities. For visitors searching for Meeting Point Leisure café, it is therefore especially important that not only coffee is served here, but a social place with food, cakes, and a break between offerings is created. The combination of indoor area, outdoor spaces, and lake view makes the gastronomy a real plus point of the venue. ([cafemidi.de](https://cafemidi.de/))

This is also a strong lever in marketing. Many searchers automatically associate Meeting Point Leisure food with the desire to organize a whole family outing easily. Café Midi provides exactly the right answer: food in the house, short distances, family-friendly atmosphere, and a location that can be ideally combined with playground, meadow, and program. The public description also states that one can browse books with children, play in the garden, or be active on the lakeside meadow. This makes the café not an isolated destination but part of a larger day experience. Those looking for a place where culture, leisure, and small breaks fit together neatly will find themselves very well accommodated here. ([cafemidi.de](https://cafemidi.de/))

Winter playground, flea market, and family moments all year round

Another strong keyword is Meeting Point Leisure winter playground. The official offering page describes the format as a Sunday family offering in January and February. The focus is on a sports and movement course in the sports hall, complemented by creative stations for older children. This is exactly the kind of offering that works on cold days: indoor movement, creative activities, shared experiences, and a break at Café Midi. For families with children aged three and older, this is particularly attractive because it combines play, encounters, and weather-independent activities. The winter playground beautifully illustrates how Meeting Point Leisure stands for family formats that can be well utilized during the day, not just for evening events. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/angebote/winterspielplaetze-begegnung-bewegung-und-kreatives/))

The flea market is also an important recurring search topic. The official page for the flea markets in 2026 lists several dates, including the flea market for the Spring Festival on April 26, 2026, the summer flea market on July 5, 2026, and the flea market for the open house on September 27, 2026. Additionally, the homepage mentions the Spring Festival with a children's flea market as a current highlight. Such formats significantly contribute to the visibility of the venue as they continually attract families, neighborhoods, and regular guests. A flea market at Meeting Point Leisure is not just a sales format but part of a larger encounter concept that also works outdoors on the meadows, at the playground, and in the café. This is why the venue fits so well with search queries like Meeting Point Leisure flea market or Meeting Point Leisure today. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/unsere-flohmaerkte-2026/?utm_source=openai))

Together with the holiday offerings, a very clear picture emerges: Meeting Point Leisure accompanies families not only at specific times but throughout the year. The current spring holiday program for 2026 includes offerings such as holidayTHEATER, holidayACTIVE, holidayCREATIVE, and holidayINCLUSIVE, which bring together creative work, movement, theater, and inclusive formats. Thus, the venue is equally relevant during the Easter holidays, in the spring weeks, and in the cold months. Those searching for Meeting Point Leisure Easter holidays or Meeting Point Leisure holiday program usually expect a reliable, family-friendly place with clear registration structures and versatile content. This is precisely the role the venue fulfills. It is not a one-time event spot but a recurring everyday partner for families, children, and local networks. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/unser-fruehlingsferienprogramm-2026-der-ueberblick/))

History and special role of Meeting Point Leisure

The history of Meeting Point Leisure is crucial to the character of the venue. The official history page describes that in 1950, at the initiative of the Soviet military administration, construction began on the first children’s and youth facility in Potsdam after World War II. In 1952, the facility was opened as the House of Young Pioneers by the Heiligen See, and in 1957 it was named Erich Weinert. In 1990, it was renamed Meeting Point Leisure and transferred to the sponsorship of the city of Potsdam. After a closure decision in 2000, there were protests and a citizens' petition that supported the preservation of the place with over 26,000 votes. In 2001, the closure was suspended, and a new framework concept for an intergenerational leisure and meeting center was developed. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/infopunkt/seit-1952-zur-geschichte-des-ortes/))

Between 2002 and 2006, the house was renovated and refurbished as part of the program implementation of the Social City. Since then, around 2,500 square meters of usable space and an outdoor area of about 16,000 square meters have been available. In 2007, Meeting Point Leisure was included in the federal program for intergenerational houses, and since 2011, it has been under the sponsorship of Kubus gGmbH, and since 2015, Meeting Point Leisure has been an officially recognized family center of the state capital Potsdam. These stages show that the place is not only historically interesting but has also developed consistently. From a classic children’s and youth facility, it has become a modern intergenerational space with event areas, course offerings, social work, and cultural openness. Therefore, those searching for Meeting Point Leisure photos or Meeting Point Leisure Potsdam see not only a beautiful house by the lake but a developed piece of Potsdam's city history. ([treffpunktfreizeit.de](https://www.treffpunktfreizeit.de/infopunkt/seit-1952-zur-geschichte-des-ortes/))

Today, the program clearly reflects this development. The venue offers programs for children, teenagers, families, and seniors, as well as courses in theater, music, dance, creativity, health, sports, knowledge, and learning. In the program brochure, Meeting Point Leisure is explicitly described as a place for families, children, teenagers, and seniors, and the offering structure in the calendar also confirms this self-understanding. This is precisely the special strength of the location: it is at once a historical place, a social meeting point, and a flexible event address. For SEO and for visitors, this means that Meeting Point Leisure not only excels with individual events but also with a credible overall identity. It connects history, everyday use, and cultural life in such a way that a search term like Meeting Point Leisure Potsdam becomes a genuine destination. The parent-child group/toddler playgroup is a great opportunity to play with your little ones in a relaxed atmosphere in a nicely furnished room on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and to chat with other parents. The supervisors are very friendly.

A fantastic facility with excellent offerings for all ages. From dance classes for children and adults to acrobatics, they have it all. The café is also highly recommended.
