I had to discontinue my training due to health reasons. Yes, it's sad, but perhaps I'll come back someday when I'm back on my feet. Not everything at the vocational training center was bad; most of the staff always tried their best and offered support. I especially recommend the psychologists, social workers, and my autism consultant, etc. Not everything at the residential facility was bad, but there was also one educator who, although currently on maternity leave, is rather unsuitable for this type of vocational training center. Sure, there were moments when she was the only one who could connect with me because she knew exactly how I was feeling. But in terms of data protection, this wasn't very professional, because problems or issues concerning other participants were discussed. On the one hand, she supposedly always treated me with "respect," but on the other hand, there were things you wouldn't expect from an educational professional in an institution like the vocational training center. Of course, I wasn't entirely innocent either; there were also many things I did wrong. But regarding a specific situation and things that happened, I shouldn't have remained silent. Regarding the training: Most of the instructors were always helpful and provided excellent training. Some were also very approachable, and you could trust some of the people. Training: Highly recommended! The instructor during my vocational preparation year (BvB) was and is a true expert in both practical skills and interpersonal skills. Ms. R. is and was, in my opinion, the best – always direct, honest, open, and she never let anything get her down. She was the perfect instructor! :) To return to the boarding school, sure, it wasn't paradise, but there were also some wonderful moments that I won't forget. Nevertheless, I will be filing a complaint next week detailing everything that happened in the interpersonal relationships between an instructor and the participants, because this needs to be addressed – such behavior is completely unacceptable!

In my experience, there are positive aspects to this place that I liked. Namely, that I got along well with some of the instructors, vocational school teachers, some of the boarding school supervisors, educational advisors, and psychologists. Now for the most negative points, which I consider worse from my perspective (most boarding school cases): - When I first moved into the boarding school here during my work trial, I wasn't allowed to buy anything on my own. - After the work trial, the boarding school room has to be completely emptied. And after a month's vacation, you're moved to a different boarding school building. - The internet is, in my opinion, pure "internet surveillance," designed to prevent you from doing anything illegal. The router, which is visible in the middle of every hallway, makes you notice that the internet connection is weaker because you're only 2-3 meters away from it. At most, you have to enter the MAC address of each of your two private devices. - After the work trial, you have to completely empty your boarding school room. - In the communal kitchen, nobody washes their dishes and cutlery and just puts them in the dishwasher because they're too lazy. - During my first boarding school stint, a roommate, with whom I shared a bathroom, constantly yelled at me, complained, and snapped at me. Around 3 a.m., he banged loudly on the toilet door until I was told to open it. I have the solution myself: if no one is in the bathroom, I use the coin or key to open the lock. My roommate said, "I've never even held a single coin in my life!" And he always forgets to open the toilet door again. I find it really unfair to live in a boarding school. When all the apartment rooms were occupied, I was very impatient, or I wouldn't have even bothered to deregister from the boarding school. After a year, when I finally got my own apartment, I felt much better! ... -From 10 PM onwards, the dormitories will close, meaning everyone who isn't a participant or dormitory supervisor has to leave. The communal kitchens and recreation rooms will be closed to enforce quiet hours. If you want to go out, you have to speak to the dormitory supervisors. I wanted my freedom! -From 7 AM to 1 PM, the dormitories are closed during work and school hours. I went to pick up my sports equipment from the dormitory, and when a dormitory supervisor was at the entrance, he snapped at me and said, "This has to be discussed with the instructors first!" How unfriendly and incompetent that dormitory supervisor is! In the cafeteria, on both sides, there's meat on the right and vegetarian food on the left. When I forgot to get a glass bowl, and I was feeling full on the right side, I went to the left side, where a cook snapped at me. Unfortunately, my school aide at the time forced me to go to the boarding school, which was about an hour away from where I lived, and said something like this: "No boarding school! You can't travel back and forth so often because work starts at seven!" I never want to see her again! Period! Actually, I didn't want to get my forklift license at all because I had stage fright. Luckily, I passed the exam. My conclusion: I will never in my life do an apprenticeship there again or stay in a boarding school! I was on the campus there between 2016 and 2020. I completed a year of vocational preparation and three years of training. I persevered until I received my qualification. I find Blumenfisch, my former shared apartment, and my rented apartment much more comfortable. If you don't feel more comfortable there, it's best not to go to the campus or to quit the program. I found it very stressful on the campus. Have a nice day!

Dear Oberlin team, as a mother, I would like to thank you for the past few years. Nothing better could have happened to my son. He attended the Oberlin School in Potsdam from eighth grade and then the vocational training center. All the professional groups and staff were very professional, caring, and empathetic. It was a very good collaboration, and we are happy to have found this path. Now he is a very self-confident young man with a solid foothold in his career. Thank you so much for everything! Please stay the way you are! A big thank you also to the boarding school HOUSE 3 ;-)

I was in your facility from the beginning of 2023 to 2024. At the start of the program, I was really happy that things were finally looking up for me professionally. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I was shuffled from department to department and was constantly disappointed. The only thing I learned from your workshop was how to become truly independent. I don't need to say much about the dorm, but the staff were all nice. Your instructors and teachers weren't, and most of them were absolutely not patient. This isn't a facility for people with disabilities, but rather for healthy people who have nothing.
