Munich: Gray Rainy Day with Cool 14 Degrees – Don’t Forget Your Umbrella

Munich must prepare for a consistently gloomy and wet day on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Much points to light rain shaping the course of the day – with noticeably cool highs of only 13 to 14 degrees.

It will already remain chilly in the morning: Temperatures will be between 12 and 13 degrees. Instead of isolated showers, a uniform, gray weather pattern is emerging, leaving little room for bright spells.

Light rain shapes the entire Wednesday

The sky will remain overcast in the morning, sunshine is not to be expected. Throughout the day, light rain will persist; longer dry periods are not in sight. It will also remain cool and damp in the evening at 11 to 12 degrees, and at night the values will drop to 8 to 10 degrees. Only then is it expected to become cloudier and somewhat drier than before.

The wind plays an overall minor role: In the morning it blows from the south, in the afternoon still from a southerly direction. In the evening and at night it turns to southwest.

Although the days in June are long, that hardly helps on Wednesday: Sunrise in Munich is at 5:13 a.m., sunset at 9:12 p.m. – but sunshine is still not expected.

Compared to last week, the weather appears significantly more subdued: Instead of up to 18 degrees and about three hours of sunshine, it remains around 14 degrees with a consistently gray impression. The contrast to the same day last year is even more striking: Back then, Munich recorded up to 25 degrees, twelve hours of sunshine, and only light cloud cover.

The next few days will also remain changeable

A cautious easing is only announced in the night to Thursday, when it becomes cloudy and the rain subsides. Thursday should overall be somewhat friendlier: 8 to 15 degrees and around three hours of sunshine are expected, along with isolated light showers. Particularly noticeable are westerly gusts, which can reach up to 43 km/h.

On Friday, the picture shifts back to gray: 10 to 14 degrees are expected, again light rain and no sunshine. The wind remains westerly.

All in all, Wednesday in Munich will follow a clear pattern: cool, gray, and wet for hours. It will become somewhat drier at night – but a lasting improvement in the weather is not yet in sight.
