When God needs therapy, no laughing muscle is spared

What happens when the Creator is personally stuck in a midlife crisis and wants to end all creation? In the intelligent comedy Oh My God! by Anat Gov, psychologist Ela receives a truly divine task: She has to change God's mind within 60 minutes and thereby save the world.

A therapy session with cosmic side effects

The Hofspielhaus transforms into an unusual therapy room where big questions meet pointed dialogue, absurd situations, and finely dosed humor. The comedy combines stand-up style wit with classical theater, dark humor, and touching moments. Here divine omniscience collides with human psychology – an appointment where even the universe nervously watches the clock.

Heio von Stetten as God

Heio von Stetten takes on the role of the overwhelmed Creator, Mira Huber plays psychologist Ela. Directed by Matthias Steurer. The ensemble's stage presence thrives on precise timing, direct interaction, and the switch between comedic punchlines and reflective moments. Anat Gov's play is considered a witty, intelligent, and touching engagement with fundamental questions of humanity.

Comedy atmosphere with depth

The laughter experience is created not through constant fire but through clever focus: a look, a pause, or an unexpected reaction is enough to pivot the audience's response. The performance lasts about 80 minutes without a break. Doors open at 5:00 PM, one hour before start.

Conclusion: Divine humor for human problems

Oh My God! promises an entertaining theater comedy with sharp timing, unusual premise, and plenty of material to laugh and think about. Anyone looking for intelligent punchlines, strong stage presence, and a comedic atmosphere with a philosophical aftertaste will experience a therapy session at the Hofspielhaus that should not be missed live.
