Bach differently: When Baroque music gains new colors
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, Bach differently invites you to the auditorium of the Christoph-Probst-Gymnasium in Gilching. The event starts at 7:30 PM. The focus is on works by Johann Sebastian Bach as well as arrangements by Alexander Siloti and Ferruccio Busoni.
Between devotion, virtuosity, and surprising sound language
The program opens up views of Bach from several perspectives: The arrangement of the Air from the Prélude in B minor combines the clear architecture of the Baroque with a softer, romantically influenced sound effect. In the Partita No. 2 in C minor, BWV 826, contrasting dance movements, rhythmic precision, and expressive depth come to the fore.
Great music in a focused concert space
With Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme and Ich ruf zu dir, Herr, further Bach works sound in the arrangement by Ferruccio Busoni. Busoni's orchestration expands the original sound language without losing its spiritual core. This creates a concert experience between transparent line structure, sound densification, and intense stage performance.
An evening for Bach connoisseurs and explorers
The Partita, the chorale melodies, and the arrangements show how adaptable Bach's music remains to this day. Expert listeners experience musical forms, harmonic tension fields, and finely tuned synchronization; newcomers discover a vibrant sound world beyond museum-like tradition. The auditorium provides an immediate setting with direct live atmosphere and concentrated audience mood.
Conclusion: Experience Bach live from new perspectives
Bach differently promises an inspiring concert evening with original works, arrangements, and surprising transitions between Baroque clarity and romantic sound fullness. Those who want to rediscover Johann Sebastian Bach with open ears will experience a musical program full of character, precision, and emotional depth in Gilching.
