A great voice returns to Munich
On Sunday, October 4, 2026, the Prinzregententheater will be the venue for a musical homage to Luciano Pavarotti. In Luciano – 3 Tenors Celebrate a Legend, three outstanding tenors will interpret the opera arias and Italian songs that made the legendary tenor famous worldwide.
Opera classics with an Italian heart
The program combines grand arias with emotional canzones and brings the brilliance of Italian singing tradition to the stage. The focus is on expression, vocal precision, and the unique live atmosphere of a concert that highlights Pavarotti's musical legacy.
Three tenors, one famous role model
The ensemble includes Johannes Groß, Oscar Marin, and Ricardo Marinello, among others. Johannes Groß is considered a distinguished German heroic tenor and is the founder of the German Tenors. Oscar Marin hails from Barcelona and was trained by the great singer Montserrat Caballé. Ricardo Marinello won the first season of Das Supertalent at the age of 18 and then continued his classical vocal training.
Live without microphones
The concert production emphasizes immediate stage performance: the voices are heard live and without microphones. This highlights breath control, resonance, and the natural acoustics of the hall. In the Prinzregententheater, vocal synchronization, classical orchestration, and Italian timbres come together in a festive Munich concert ambiance.
An homage to the operatic pop star
Luciano Pavarotti influenced the opera world like few other tenors. Together with Plácido Domingo and José Carreras, he made the Three Tenors internationally popular. The homage reflects this connection of opera, concert culture, and great audience proximity and recalls a singer who opened classical music to a million listeners.
Conclusion: A concert experience for classical fans
Visitors can expect a festive evening full of great melodies, powerful voices, and Italian emotion. Those who want to experience Pavarotti's repertoire live and feel the special audience atmosphere of a tenor gala should mark October 4, 2026, at the Munich Prinzregententheater.
