Quadro Nuevo & Harald Lesch take Munich to the stars

On Monday, October 5, 2026, Quadro Nuevo and Prof. Harald Lesch connect fascinating scientific narratives with a colorful world music performance at the Munich Prinzregententheater. Under the title Sun, Moon and Stars, an evening concert emerges about stardust, the moon, the blue planet, and the cosmic forces that shape our lives.

Galactic tangos meet earthly grooves

Quadro Nuevo opens an acoustic panorama between East and West with saxophone, clarinets, accordion, bandoneon, trumpet, guitar, double bass, and percussion. The music traverses Mediterranean sound colors, improvisational passages, and yearning melodies. Galactic tangos, earthly grooves, and pieces like Luna Rossa or the ethereal Dance of Stars give the evening a floating yet grounded atmosphere.

Harald Lesch makes the cosmos comprehensible

Prof. Harald Lesch guides the audience through the scientific and philosophical dimensions of the evening. His storytelling translates complex questions of astrophysics into understandable images and creates a thought resonance space for the music. Expertise, stage performance, and musical improvisation meet in an unusual synchronization of word and sound.

A concert experience full of light, expanse, and emotion

The live atmosphere thrives on the interplay of concentrated storytelling and open sound spaces. No single conductor takes the lead: The dramaturgy arises from the dialogue between Lesch's voice and the ensemble. Between delicate accordion lines, warm double bass, breathing saxophone, and rhythmic percussion, a sound landscape grows that connects the audience's mood with cosmic imagination.

Quadro Nuevo: World music with jazz, tango, and improvisation

Founded in 1996, the ensemble Quadro Nuevo combines jazz, tango, valse musette, flamenco, Mediterranean film music, and global influences. The band has released numerous albums, including Mocca Flor, Tango Bitter Sweet, Grand Voyage, Mare, Odyssee – A Journey into the Light, Happy Deluxe, and Inside the Island. The formation stands for acoustic virtuosity, spontaneous improvisation, and concerts with a pronounced closeness to the audience.

Conclusion: Munich experiences an evening between science and world music

Visitors at the Prinzregententheater can look forward to an unusual concert experience between astrophysics, natural philosophy, and improvised world music. Those who want to experience Harald Lesch's clear thoughts and Quadro Nuevo's colorful stage performance live can secure tickets now for a journey to the sun, moon, and stars.
