The Green Wonder – Our Forest: A Cinematic Journey Through the Realm of Trees

As part of the Autumn Film Days, the Children's Cinema Munich invites you on Sunday, November 1, 2026, to an impressive exploration of our forests. The documentary film by Jan Haft makes the forest visible as a diverse habitat and is aimed at children aged seven and up, as well as nature-interested families.

An Artistic Experience Between Nature Observation and Big Screen

The Green Wonder – Our Forest combines documentary storytelling with spectacular nature photography. Colors, shapes, light moods, and movements create a special spatial effect on the big screen. Between tree canopies, moss pillows, and hidden life worlds, an aesthetic experience emerges that connects scientific observation with sensory experience.

The Diversity of the Forest in Focus

Jan Haft's documentary takes viewers into those areas of the forest that often remain hidden in everyday life. Animals and plants appear in unusual proximity while conveying the complex interplay of the ecosystem in an illustrative way. The work consideration does not focus on painting, sculpture, or installation but on the cinematic design of nature: camera work, editing, light, and image composition shape a visual narrative about biodiversity and life communities.

Cultural Education for Children and Families

As part of the Grand Children's Cinema, the screening offers cultural education with a clear nature and environmental reference. The film opens up discussion opportunities about animals, plants, ecological contexts, and a gentle approach to nature. The 90-minute presentation is suitable for children from seven years old and combines entertainment with sound knowledge transfer.
